# current device
* Handheld iPad pro 2017 12.9
* Mainly used to watch movies, occasionally use pencil to write drafts, and occasionally use a Bluetooth keyboard to write a diary
# Purpose of replacement
* Family members have audio and video needs, often grab equipment, and then are squeezed into watching videos on their mobile phones
* The hard disk capacity is not enough, 64G, you have to delete one American TV series to watch, and you can't save too many movies
* The 2017 product is indeed a bit old, and I have never dared to update the system
* If you go out to play, the portability of 12.9 on high-speed rail and subway is not as good as that of the smaller 11.3. But this kind of demand feels relatively small and is not a major demand
# worried
* My understanding of iPad is a portable touch screen. But simply thinking about Vision Pro, I feel that except for some handwriting or keyboard input scenarios, the rest can completely replace most of the functions of the current iPad as long as the application is adapted and mobile scenarios are not forced. It's not a bad idea to add money to taste something new
* Vision Pro is quite attractive to me personally. I feel that even if I buy an iPad, I will buy another VP in the future. And I always feel that joining the iPad in the past two years is a bit like joining the national army in 1949
# Select
* The new generation 11-inch iPad pro or Vision Pro in 24?

Poster Jan 4, 2024@ Anonymous2828 @ Anonymous3587 It may take some time to replace the computer, but it won't take too long to replace the iPad? VP should be hard to grab this year hahaha @ Anonymous7633 @ Anonymous7634 @ Anonymous7420 Is the big move to go to OLED? I can't figure out what big moves the iPad can have in addition to daily chip updates (running macOS?) Since they say there is a big move this year, you can look forward to it again @ Anonymous335 @ Anonymous12456 @ Anonymous9255 I can indeed get a NAS, but I feel that I can buy an iPad with the funds... It's not too cool to clamp the iPad on the bed with a stand (my 12.9 is bent because of this

Poster Jan 4, 2024@ Anonymous373 I haven't actually experienced it yet. If you can't wear it for a long time, it doesn't feel as good as iPad plus stand
