Compatibility issues with the 2016 9.7-inch iPad Pro upgrade to newer iOS

Recently discovered that the previously installed Youtube App must be forced to upgrade before it can be used, and the upgrade requires updating the iOS version -Model: https://support.apple.com/kb/SP739 -Configuration: 128G WiFi -Current version: iOS 12.0 (16A366) -Can be updated to: iOS 16 I would like to ask, is there anyone who owns the same iPad Pro? If you want to ensure fluency, can you upgrade to iOS 16? Or is there any solution, the target can use the Youtube App with acceptable fluency without jailbreaking, and occasionally want to use it to write and draw with the Paper App

    It's perfectly fine.

I checked and the 2016 9-inch ipad pro seems to have 2G Ram memory. I am using an ipad with 3G Ram, and the system is iOS 17. After a long time, the memory will still explode. The specific manifestation is that the game freezes and needs to be restarted every 2 to 3 days.

iPadOS 16.7.6 same model as the original 9.7-inch Pro Mainly used as the latest version of the system that can be updated to the Mac secondary screen I haven't compared the fluency of the old version of the system, I think it's okay

@ Anonymous12388 Thanks @ Anonymous7583 Thanks for the reminder, I don't use it to play games, and it should be acceptable to restart occasionally, after all, it's been used for so long, so it doesn't seem like a big problem @ Anonymous4210 Thank you, there is actually an extra bonus, it can be used as a secondary screen, not bad, not bad, ready to upgrade

The same machine, usually only netflix. The system stopped at the last version of 16. Except for occasional lag, slow charging and not long-lasting battery, there was nothing else abnormal.

@ Anonymous2477 Thank you. According to your experience, if you mainly use Netflix to watch videos, how long will the battery last? Because I feel that my usage scenario should be similar to yours, you can use it as a reference

You can use the web version of Youtube. Is it acceptable? Upgrade is not recommended

@ Anonymous7583 My old ipad before will also be like this. The specific manifestation is that after using it for a week, it starts to kill the background frantically, and even the app that could be used normally crashes... I'm quite puzzled. It turns out that ios will also have this problem that the longer it is used, the more memory accumulates? This is considered a memory leak

@ Poster # 6 I feel that when playing audio externally, it should be at least 10% ~ 15% an hour. Actually, it's okay to lose power, mainly because this thing charges too slowly..

This ipad has 2 watts when left unmoved, 5 watts for browser surfing the Internet, 5 watts for note taking, 6 watts for Arknights, and the new battery turns off for 5 hours every day. It crashes once a week, which shows that all app cards can't get into the first screen, and it gets stuck and restarted after opening several times in a row.
