M1 chip Mac upgrade

by Poster Apr 17, 2024 27
The main problem of imac 24-inch all-in-one machine, M1+8G, is that there is not enough memory. I know that the CPU and memory are together, so I can only replace the whole M1+16G chip. After asking, it costs more than 4,000, which is not cost-effective. You can buy a mini separately, but it turns out that the all-in-one machine cannot be used as a monitor alone and cannot be connected to a mini. If you want to upgrade, you can only buy the whole set again. Cook's knife skills are too precise.

This thing in my house is for watching videos on the dinner table. Although it's not too big, it's okay.

@ Anonymous9716 He's showing off his skills. In fact, no one provides this kind of service. They all replace the CPU together

This is originally your own problem. If you didn't do your homework well, something like imac is just an enlarged iPad, which is only suitable for specific needs. You should sell it early and change it to other products

I can only blame myself. Unless the usage scenario is simple and long-term stability is guaranteed, you will have to spend money to upgrade a Mac. You will almost certainly regret buying the beggar version

@ Anonymous3732 is not a beggar's version, I remember it was the top version at that time, the original 12999 model, the m1 happened to be an all-in-one machine that only seemed to have 8G memory
