Tomorrow is the press conference. I'm looking forward to the new iPad and new smart keyboard that haven't been updated for many years

Smart keyboard is very easy to use (the price is a bit expensive), but the edges age too easily. I hope there is a new product that can solve this kind of problem this time. We will know whether it is M3 or M4 tomorrow, and maybe we can be productive in the future.

Smart keyboard is used as the first launch, and its current disadvantages when used with m1 12.9 are as follows: 1. It's too heavy, so when I'm not typing, I even buy a separate bracket for reuse; 2. Keyboard layout, I don't know if the overall layout is too small or the layout is inconsistent. Once the mac keyboard is used, it will shift inexplicably when typing on the Smart keyboard; 3. The touchpad is small and uncomfortable to use. See how Apple breaks through the defense line of its own MacBook Air 13. In my current scenario, real productivity (documents, business data) still requires a MacBook Air 15, lying down to watch dramas, games, padmini, 12.9 plus Smart keyboard, not much lighter than 15air, and rubbish iPadOS, speechless. In addition, the adaptation logic of various domestic online documents (Tencent, Kingsoft) to iPadOS is touch-screen interaction, and the functional castration of local software. All I can say is producing a Der

If the iPad os system is not improved, it will never become productive. I really take out my iPad pro M1 every once in a while to charge it and upgrade the system.

    Definitely M3 + oled

@ Anonymous7331 In fact, the 12.9 + Magic Keyboard is already heavier than the 13.6-inch Air, and even the lighter smart keyboard is not much better. Not to mention the MBA is not particularly light among the current 13-inch high-end thin and light notebooks. Unless you just need to draw pictures with handwriting strokes or something, most applications iPad Pro have no advantages at all

Unless Cook has the determination to cut down all 13-inch macbooks, the ipad can't be truly productive.

There is estimated to be a new Apple Pencil tomorrow. Someone posted a picture of the press conference on Apple's official website in Japan. The caption remarks mentioned "Apple Pencil Pro" (ribu _ ap712)

@ Anonymous2283 # 5 Indeed, iPad is far inferior to Macbook Air for ordinary people (people who don't use it as a digital screen) https://i.imgur.com/krir4IG. png

It doesn't have to do with M3 or M4, it has to do with the software. In fact, it's really impossible to optimize the Safari experience for the online software currently on the market... When I tried to use an iPad instead of a notebook before, I used the web version of Matlab. Except for the occasional strange behavior of iOS Safari, it was actually 70% available https://i.imgur.com/krir4IG. png (iPad 8 + Smart Keyboard + Apple pencil as a mouse) Why don't you use it like this now... Because the battery life dropped sharply after switching to the iPad Air M1, so I gritted my teeth and updated the M2 MacBook Air 13 https://i.imgur.com/krir4IG. png

@ Anonymous46 # 4 daughter-in-law now goes out is 12.9 m2 ipad pro plus 13 inch m1 mba. The ipad is mainly for taking notes and drawing schematic diagrams. Various professional applications of mba. The ipad can also be used as a second monitor when needed.

@ Anonymous452 Yes, but in this simple application, the iPad Pro has no advantage over the cheaper Air or the old Pro. After all, these don't require much performance
