Many users report that the screen of OLED iPad Pro is grainy

The 13-inch OLED panel is supplied by LG. The 11-inch OLED panel was originally supplied by Samsung, but because Samsung's output was lower than expected, Apple transferred some 11-inch OLED panel orders to LG, which was jointly supplied by Samsung and LG. Most reports so far have been related to 11-inch models, but one or two mention 13-inch models, so it's unclear if that potential defect, if it does exist, is specific to an OLED panel vendor. https://www.macrumors.com/2024/05/17/oled-ipad-pro-grainy-display-reports https://www.reddit.com/r/ipad/comments/1csrchw https://www.reddit.com/r/ipad/comments/1csvetg https://www.reddit.com/r/ipad/comments/1cto5kp https://imgur.com/oeaw4KS https://imgur.com/yO0ZsrR

I have two 11-inch Pros here, and the small flaws on the screen are the same. Go back and see if I can find the panel supplier * It's slightly grainy when it displays dark gray (users of LG OLED TV must be familiar with this thing, but it's much slighter), but it's not serious. I need to go into the bathroom and turn off the lights and then turn the screen down to the lowest brightness to see it. The photos can't be taken. The reddit post looks much more serious than my two * There is a slight white light on the edge, which is a bit like IPS light leakage, but relatively lighter (These two points are nitpicking. At present, it is indeed the best OLED screen I have ever seen in the big screen.)

@ Anonymous2159 The graininess is a bit like the dirty screen of the S24 U, but it is more "regular" than the S24 U. It feels that the grid can barely be seen. When I first saw it, it defaulted to be because of the slight difference between the two screens at the lowest brightness difference

Pwm dimming oled is really an evil technical route. As long as the technical indicators and life span are shorter, it meets commercial needs, but it does not meet people's needs at all

It's a bit like the moire pattern formed by the interference of the inferior touch screen layer and the pixel arrangement below. In the early years, many touch screen amoled were like this. Although it is called 4k, the color looks extremely impure and has the feeling of dirty stains

OLED iPad not only has resolution damage, but also the grainy black background of the same Samsung S24 proves that my speculation two months ago is completely correct
