The main purpose is to expand the capacity of the beggar version of the M2 by 512G more, and bring your own hard drive (removed from the previous machine).
Secondly, a monitor stand is needed to conveniently store Macmini under the monitor and keep the desktop tidy.
I have studied the following three schemes and chose one. Please help me criticize and correct me:
I have checked the comments of the big guys on the forum, and it seems that Satechi's reputation is slightly better than that of Haibisi?
[Option 1: Haibisi's bracket + docking station two-in-one]
Advantages: The most cost-effective, the docking station and monitor stand are all available for 450 yuan
Disadvantages: The docking station is made of white plastic, which looks a little cheap and does not match the overall style of the Mac

[Option 2: Hibisi's docking station]
Advantages: The price/performance ratio is good, the docking station costing 420 yuan can basically meet my needs
Disadvantage: You have to buy an extra bracket

[Option 3: Satechi's Docking Station]
Advantages: Satechi is a company in California, USA. It has products sold in the Apple Store and has a relatively high degree of cooperation with Apple.
Disadvantages: The price of 746 yuan is relatively high.

Anonymous10196 Jun 17, 2024I chose Satechi, which is in the second generation. Before, it only supported M.2 hard drives with SATA protocol (I happened to have them). But there is a problem with the old model, and there is a certain chance that the hard drive won't hang up...

Anonymous10197 Feb 18, 2025Haibeisi chooses the Thunderbolt 4 with a 2.5 g network port, otherwise the m2 can only travel at a 10g rate
