About sleep monitoring for apple watch

by Poster Jul 2, 2024 23
I recently bought the apple watch ultra2 and wanted to use it to check my sleep status. After I got it, I slept for more than 3 hours every day for 3 consecutive days, and the displayed bed time was also more than 3 hours. I always slept from 1 o'clock to 2 o'clock. I went to bed between and got up at 8:30, which is too much difference (I turned on sleep mode). What's outrageous is that there is no standing every day in the fitness ring. When I get up in the morning, I have stood up five times today, 😂 When I didn't have a watch before, I set the goal of 100 calories for the fitness ring. Because I was sedentary every day, I might not be able to finish the previous day's shift, or just finish it. After buying a watch recently, I took a taxi to the company in the morning and popped up saying that I had completed today's goal, and I consumed 400 calories after get off work.

Standing is only one minute in an hour, and that hour is counted as standing. It's normal to sleep inaccurately, you can try to install a third-party APP (autosleep, etc.), although it may still be inaccurate After you have a watch, the watch will often detect your heartbeat, so it will increase the energy consumption. When you only have a mobile phone, it will only calculate the calories you burn while walking.

@ Anonymous12629 I just got up and went to the toilet once halfway, and I stood up five times. Am I still sleepwalking? Lying in bed actually detected that I was standing.

By sleep mode, do you mean sleep alarm clock? I set a sleep alarm clock to help me sleep and sleep every day, and the sleep time seems quite accurate

@ Poster has something to do with your gesture, maybe your hand is vertical?

You're either really sleepwalking, or there's something wrong with your watch....

@ Anonymous1968 Yes. In addition, my friend didn't set a sleep alarm clock and it was quite accurate. I was also quite puzzled.

@ Poster can analyze and see, for example, the heart rate is generally lower during sleep than when you are awake, and it also shows whether the number of steps has changed when you are awake. Comprehensively analyze these data

@ Anonymous12629 Sleeping with my wife, and I hold her belly in the back, there is a chance that I will be considered standing. Only occasionally.

@ Anonymous1968 # 7 For example, yesterday, I went to bed at 2 o'clock (I basically went to bed with my head down), but the record showed that I didn't go to bed until 3:27, and there was no waking time in front of me. When I got up at 8 o'clock, the intermittent waking time in the middle was 1 hour, which was very abnormal.

I just finished my sleep breathing examination recently. If I want to know the most accurate situation, I can still consider going to the hospital for this specialist measurement, including the blood oxygen level during sleep. I also asked the doctor about the accuracy of smart wearable devices, and the doctor's answer was for reference only.

Why don't you try autoSleep? I usually don't look at the one that comes with it. Also, is it a little loose that you wear? I think the detection accuracy here is relatively high

I used auto sleep before, so I had to calibrate it myself. Now that I upgraded watch OS 11 beta, I uninstalled auto sleep and used the built-in one, which is quite accurate.

https://youtu.be/O-fDwvhxwJI? si = K4T3X4p0B53UCdXB You can read this review Forwarded from https://t.me/AppleNuts "⌚ ️ 💤 Apple Watch monitors sleep accuracy and nap tracking Before watchOS 7 Users use third-party apps to monitor sleep, such as Pillow, AutoSleep, etc. However, due to the uneven sensitivity and accuracy of the App for sleep monitoring, coupled with the high subscription fee, many users are discouraged. Starting with watchOS 7 Apple brings sleep tracking. But sleep can only be monitored when the user turns on sleep mode. This is very unfriendly to friends who have the habit of taking naps, and it will eventually lead to inaccurate and missing sleep data. But there is no doubt that Apple Watch's accuracy of sleep monitoring is the most accurate among wearable devices at present, none of them. This review comes from a blogger named The Quantified Scientist. It can also be seen from the image that the sleep monitoring accuracy of Huawei and Xiaomi's wearable devices is very low, so it is better not to monitor them. Starting with watchOS 11 beta 1 The system begins to support nap tracking. If you wear an Apple Watch and go into a short sleep without entering sleep mode, the Apple Watch can also accurately capture it. This information will be used for Vitals' analysis to make your health information more accurate. "

@ Anonymous10740 Haha, because the watch can only judge the direction of the arm, and if it hangs down, it is considered to be standing. Similarly, when my wife stood, the cook didn't stop and reminded her to stand for a while. This is the limitation of the watch.
