Can I use mac mini 2012 MD388 as a light office and thin client in 2024?

In 2018, I assembled a black apple with an i5 3470 and experienced OS X Yosemite. It feels good, but it's still not perfect, such as a series of code jumps when booting and hibernation problems. I don't dare to upgrade the system casually. Recently at the seafood market, I saw the model mac mini 2012 MD388 I7. Supports expansion to 16G memory, solid state, and a 2.5-inch mechanical hard disk. I compared both performance and core display, and the I7-3615QM is better than the i5 3470. This model of machine is not expensive either, only about 750 yuan. So the question is, in 2024, what will be the experience of using this machine? My light office work is to use the browser to watch news, Zhihu, watch youtube and Bilibili, chat on WeChat, and use word, ppt and excel. Use Clipping or PR to cut a light 3-5 minute clip. If you don't play games, the video output can be more complicated from the remote desktop. You can use the win desktop at home and control it from the remote desktop at home. What do you think? As for why not buy a Mac mini M1, because I am forced to live, I want to save money and buy a second-hand Alien notebook to play with.

For the same model, I disassembled the machine and replaced it with a 2TB hard drive & flashed a PVE, and created 3 virtual machines, which are used as gitlab, library and downloader respectively, and they are ok to use
