Is Apple Watch esim worth turning on

by Poster Aug 16, 2024 31
I have never bought a watch with esim before. I recently replaced it with a new watch. Now I am considering whether to activate esim. I have considered the usage scenarios, and I don't have the need to go out for running. It seems that esim cannot be used in other scenarios. Ask for advice.

Don't buy it-I was also told by some remarks similar to saving lives under special circumstances, and then I spent an extra 800 to buy it. Then I opened the eSIM for a few months without any effect, and then I unsubscribed. Let's not be consumerist and buy on demand.

    Very practical for sports users

It's not worth it. Shenzhen Unicom is easy to open, but difficult to close it. The APP has the function of closing this page, but it keeps reporting errors. Telephone consultation needs to be solved offline. Also a designated business hall. After I arrived, I filled out a lot of information. After a month, the fee was still deducted. Continue the telephone consultation, but it needs to be solved offline...

Turn it on if you like exercise. Having a mobile phone around for daily use is the same as not turning it on

It's not worth it. I haven't used it once in 4 years.

I have been driving it for two years, so I was excited when I opened it. Later, I haven't used it once, and I pay 10 yuan a month for nothing

After opening it for two years, I felt that the demand scenario was relatively rare, so I closed it, saving ten yuan per month. The more important reason is the electricity consumption. After two years of use, the battery is aging, and the watch can't last to work overtime and go home. In the extreme case, the watch swipes the card when entering the subway, and the watch runs out of power when leaving the subway

Instead of running, I work out in the gym and listen to songs. Because bringing a mobile phone will keep watching the mobile phone and delay the time between groups. Still somewhat useful. It's just that sometimes the gym goes underground, and the signal is poor...

@ Anonymous4851 # 28 So I think now that caching songs directly should be enough

Personally, I don't think it's necessary for the following reasons: The iphone is around more than 1.99% of the time, and the cellular network of the watch consumes extra power 2. The scenario used alone is basically only when you go out for a run. It doesn't matter if there is no internet for dozens of minutes and an hour at a time 3. Watch's zfb and wx both support offline payment, and can be scanned even if there is no network 4. The only application scenario that can be thought of is listening to music/podcasts online, but offline caching is actually enough

I fainted after reading this post. I opened esim on the se cellular version three years ago. The watch has been sold for more than two years and thought it would stop itself after it was wiped. Now I know that ten yuan is still being deducted every month, and the handover is nearly in vain. Three hundred yuan
