How to conveniently receive text messages with iPad data card (China Unicom)

by Poster Sep 18, 2024 10
There is a secondary card of Unicom placed on iPad as a traffic card, and the phone can be answered through call forwarding (calls between the primary and secondary cards are free). However, this card occasionally receives some short messages, which can only be put into the mobile phone from time to time at present. Is there a better and more convenient way to receive this card SMS?

In the settings, text messages can be set for forwarding

icloud can be synchronized, right? I just have an old iPhone at home. I have a text message, and I can also see the iPhone I carry on

I also have a cellular version of the iPad. Now I don't insert the card directly (but I still keep the eSIM in the iPad for emergencies), and put the secondary card in the Android backup machine to turn on the hotspot. To be honest, the signal is a little better than the iPad inserting its own card. Moreover, Android phones and iPads don't heat up much, and iPads have a better battery life with Wi-Fi.

But it is outrageous that the ipad can receive China Unicom's own verification code

The ipad can only receive the operator's own text messages, but nothing else, so there is no solution. iCloud cannot add the iPad sim card number.

@ Anonymous210 iPad can't receive text messages from the sim card installed on the machine at all (except for some operator text messages)... 😂 I was also shocked when I got it... Where exactly @ Anonymous209? I didn't see a forwarding option... and the forwarding cost is really a bit high. Now the package does not include the number of text messages... 😂 @ Anonymous211 Then I have to bring an Android. Comparatively speaking, it is more convenient to insert the card directly... @ Anonymous212 Yes, only get part of the operator's own sms …. @ Anonymous213 I really haven't found a good way at present, so I turned to everyone for help...

There is no solution, if you cannot receive the text message, you cannot transfer it out. I insert a card into Android to forward the phone. The text message is transferred by an open source software. It supports email, text message, ServerChan, Webhook and other forwarding channels
