Has anyone paid attention to this: How durable is the S10 with aluminum alloy backplate

I have tossed with my watch several times this year, and I still feel more comfortable using it.
Currently using awu, the battery life is better than the s series, but the volume is really too large, thick and heavy, especially wearing long-sleeved clothes is very troublesome.
This generation of s10 is considering upgrading when it is released, but there are a lot of slots (doubts):
1. Licensed castration fast charging
2. The new sleep apnea is not
3. Aluminum metal backsheet replaces ceramic
I also saw the third point before. After searching, I found that aluminum alloy is not as sweat-resistant as ceramic. The back of the S10 may feel spendy after being used for a long time. In addition, with the charging debuff, I am considering whether it is better to switch back to the S9.
At present, the 46mm S10 Air China supplement is about 2,800, and the stainless steel exterior version of S9 is about the same price. I kind of want to buy a stainless steel S9 directly.

Anonymous2559 Sep 25, 2024An electronic watch, with the back, doesn't need to be considered for its durability at all, and it's not Vacheron Constantin. It won't be worn out in a few years, so you want to change it to a new one!

Anonymous347 Sep 25, 2024You will want to change this watch into a new model in less than two or three years.

Anonymous13543 Sep 25, 2024For aluminum alloy, you shouldn't care about the back panel, you should care about the bezel and screen, neither of which is scratch-resistant.

Anonymous1579 Sep 25, 2024Silica (that main component of sand) is harder than most, so the surface durability is only more relevant to the environment where you use it

Anonymous11051 Sep 25, 2024I have used the apple watch for three generations. The biggest pain points are the battery life and weight. Because programmers often write code, working with the watch is quite heavy and restrictive. I didn't wear it for a while because of sports wrist injuries. I felt that my hands were completely liberated, the lightness is indescribable The battery life is basically once charged every day. If you don't charge it, you will be anxious, very anxious

Anonymous3983 Sep 25, 2024Personally, I think watches should be replaced in about 2 years-the charm of technology

Anonymous9177 Sep 25, 2024@ Anonymous11051 Don't you take it off when you take a shower at night? I always put it there to charge when I start washing at night, and put it on when I sleep. I basically have no feeling about the battery life, just like plugging in my mobile phone to charge when I sleep. Of course, it's best to charge it once a week, including mobile phones. However, unless there is a breakthrough in the basic science of batteries, at present, I can only compromise to develop this habit and integrate it into the rhythm of life.

Anonymous11052 Sep 25, 2024I have a ventilator, so the second point is newly added sleep apnea. This is not attractive to me. I am still using aw6. I spent 130 to replace the battery and continue to use it

Poster Sep 25, 2024@ Anonymous347 @ Anonymous2559 @ Anonymous3983 I used the S4 in front of me for almost 5 years before replacing it https://i.imgur.com/NIvxivj.png @ Anonymous13543 So I'm considering the entire stainless steel/titanium metal. I checked that the ultra 1st generation currently used is titanium metal, and I don't want to change it @ Anonymous11051 aw is already considered lightweight among watches (except stainless steel and ultra series). The lightest one I have ever worn is Garmin 255, which is made of plastic and seems to be @ Anonymous11052 I'm annoyed sleeping with a watch, so I don't care about this feature

Anonymous11051 Sep 25, 2024@ Anonymous9061 # 7 For the reason mentioned above, I have never tried sleeping with a watch, because sleep state and apnea are completely unnecessary on the premise that I self-perceive my body state and cannot be recorded for the sake of recording Secondly, sometimes I am very anxious when I go out or occasionally forget to charge the next day. In short, the battery life problem occasionally brings a lot of trouble and inconvenience to use I only have two needs to wear a watch, APP notifications and exercise records (more anaerobic). Now I have a strong sense of intensity, which frees my hands, because it's really comfortable for me not to wear a watch

Anonymous11051 Sep 25, 2024@ Poster # 9 I have worn AW for several years, and occasionally I don't wear it for a few days. I really find that my left hand is really light and comfortable, free and unfettered. So the S9 I have at present may be my last watch

Anonymous3984 Sep 25, 2024The back of S0 is also metal. After my aluminum alloy version was used for two or three years, the text on the back corroded away
-
Anonymous8618 Sep 25, 2024@ Anonymous3984 # 12 My first generation was also corroded. Later, it has been 3 years since the official replacement of the battery bulge and it is still intact. I don't know if there is any improvement in the process, the use environment, or swimming and bathing in the mountains and seas

Anonymous13510 Sep 25, 2024@ Poster I have been tossing all kinds of watches all the year round, from mechanical watches and casio in my early years to aw and fenix. In fact, if you only use one watch, ultra is the best choice. There is almost no one. I feel that the shell of ultra is made of grade five titanium alloy, which is much harder than the titanium of s series. The black version is also dlc, and the existing s version does not have dlc coating. My current set is Garmin's fenix7pro+aw7 titanium. I use fenix for exercise and sleep monitoring (I can sleep with any thick watch). I use s7 for daily use. I will take more fenix with me even when I go out. Anyway, it is turned off every day. The battery life can last a long time. The pain point of fenix is that it is not decent and convenient enough in daily life, and the pain point of aw is that the battery life is short and the sports monitoring is not comprehensive enough, so I plan to use this dual parallel set. Finally, let me answer your topic. The corrosiveness of the back of aluminum alloy depends on your personal physique and daily cleaning habits, as well as comprehensive factors. Then the scratches on the screen glass of the ordinary version also depend on personal requirements and usage conditions. To put it in the extreme, there is no need to take care of it at all. If you take care of it, it will definitely be a mess in Iraq in less than a year. You can go to Xianyu to search for it.

Poster Sep 25, 2024@ Anonymous13510 Thanks for your reply, I only wear ultra at present, and the daily experience of Garmin is still a bit crude

Anonymous12189 Sep 25, 2024The main reason is that aw has a ceramic watch back since the fourth generation until s9, and s10 suddenly switched back to aluminum alloy. Therefore, no one knows whether the process has improved in the past five years and whether it will be corroded by sweat after long-term use. Even if someone has a similar experience, they are all s3 or earlier watches, which are not completely sufficient. After all, they are craftsmanship five years ago. I first bought the s10 aluminum alloy because the s5 has been broken for two months. I used the s3 for two years before. At that time, one day of exercise and one day of swimming lasted for half a year. I changed the s5 because I liked the always-on screen. Personally, I like to sweat. I remember that I didn't find any corrosion marks on the back of the watch at that time. The old watch was officially traded in. My experience is for your reference.

Anonymous5828 Sep 26, 2024Where can I buy stainless steel s9 2800? Look at the price of JD.com and pdd aluminum alloy?
