I have been using Windows systems and mostly rely on software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, and PPT. Now thinking about upgrading my computer, I want to know if everyone recommends Mac mini as my new choice?

Anonymous11307 Oct 29, 2024Not a designer, but I'm using a mac mini, dual system mix. Here is the suggestion 1. I don't like the mac system very much, because I feel that there are too many redundant places; Unfortunately, the place is relatively small and the win host is too big. 2. Whether to choose the mac system: 1) The hardware is mainly color management, which is much better than win; 2) There is exclusive design software (but adobe software, I think it may not be as smooth under mac as under win. If you use mac, you may have to find software separately). 3. So whether to choose or not depends on: 1) Whether the colors provided by win meet the needs. 2) Whether the current software meets the needs. If the color can also be satisfied and the current software can also be satisfied, then it is generally not recommended. Because it is likely that this is just an idea of yours, and you are just tired of winning; If so, you can easily get bored with the mac. Because win has almost no other problems except "ugly". In addition to looking good with mac, you can easily encounter new problems. The disadvantages of mac are as follows (mostly only the disadvantages of mac are listed here. Before you buy them, consider whether these are likely to be accepted): 1) Design software may need to be re-purchased; It's more troublesome to find pirated copies. 2) It takes time to adapt to the system, and the mouse is difficult to use. 3) edge under mac is difficult to use (I use edge). To put it bluntly, there is no useful browser under mac. (For me, vertical labels are just needed) 4) win needs to be turned on and off almost every day, but mac does not need it. But if something goes wrong with the mac, it basically needs to be forced to shut down. The stability of the two is half a catty. 5) mac, get said apple's system. If you don't use the one that comes with it, then it looks like an "foreign product" and feels out of place with the operating system. For example, iCloud on mac often has convulsions; I only use one drive, but whether it is one drive or Dropbox on mac, it looks like an "outsider". I think this should be part of compatibility. 6) At the system level, generally speaking, mac looks better and win is more practical; mac is more conducive to "single-minded" tasks, while win is more conducive to multitasking.

Anonymous9803 Oct 29, 2024The beggar version with a junk screen is not suitable. The top configuration is suitable with a good screen. In the end, you will find that Windows is better. Although it is iV2EX, I still recommend buying a windows mini host with 16 cores, 64G RAM, and 8T SSD on the same budget, instead of buying a mac where RAM and HDD are more expensive than gold.
