Why is the power button of the new Mac mini designed at the bottom of the fuselage?

The power button of the new Mac mini is designed at the bottom of the fuselage. Is it a compromise made by adjusting the internal layout and reducing the space occupation because of its smaller size?

    The aluminum shell is extruded, so it can dig less holes when placed on the side and save cost
