Let's talk about the conclusion first. No matter what brand it is, it must be 5k to perfectly adapt. The logical resolution is 1080P, the rendering resolution is 4K, and the physical resolution is 2K, which is not clear. The hidpi native to macOS only supports displaying 4 pixels as 1 pixel, so only 200% is the perfect ratio. 2K: 2560 × 1440-> 200% magnification = 5K: 5120 × 2880

@ Anonymous12268 then I bought it for 4k for nothing?.
  • Anonymous12268 Nov 25, 2024
@ Anonymous12271 is actually clear with a 4k display, but it just can't achieve the perfect Retina display effect. You can connect your 4k monitor to windows to feel it. windows will be clearer than mac no matter whether it is set to 2k4k. Of course, some people can't even notice this kind of clarity, so it can't be said to buy it for nothing. It's clear and usable, but it's not perfect as OP said.

As long as it is accurate 1x or 2x, it can be considered that there is no loss of pixels, and 4K is fine. The so-called Retina concept is to look at PPI and eye-screen distance

@ Anonymous12268 # 21 In fact, there is a restriction, that is, under the same size, it is simpler than ppi, but many monitors are not labeled

Meiya buys Samsung viewfinity s9 5k resolution, 699 knives, equivalent to about 5,000 yuan, which can be directly mailed to Hong Kong, and the withdrawal does not exceed 12,000 tax-free limit

    @ Anonymous11574 I use this one, I can only say it's okay https://i.imgur.com/PcXuD1W.png

@ Anonymous7622 I have also been paying attention to this model recently. The advantage is that it has a camera with higher pixels, but the disadvantage is that it is a little less non-mirror and Thunderbolt IV Excuse me, buddy, have you already bought it? How do you feel?
  • Anonymous7622 Nov 25, 2024
@ Anonymous1697 # 32 I didn't buy it, I was planning to buy it, it's already 700, and the studio display is now 1299 dollars, which is half price. What more bicycles do you want?

I don't know what perfection means, but I recommend checking out the lg c3 42-inch model. There are a lot of problems, but it's really nice to use.

DELL U2723QX's default 1920 x 1080 rendering font is too large and wasteful. 2560 x 1440 is more appropriate. It's okay to use. It's just right with the left and right split screen of macOS 15.

@ Anonymous3251 I bought an RV200 pro not long ago and connected it to the Mackbook Pro M2 pro with a thunderbolt cable. I found that Netflix could not 4K, and the debugging information showed output-restricted. I actively contacted the after-sales engineer through the official website information, but the other party ignored me and had to return it.

@ Anonymous12268 # 21 None of these things you list are perfect True perfection: 40-inch monitor, logical resolution 4K, rendering resolution 4K, physical resolution 4K, very clear

@ Anonymous7426 It's estimated that there's no HDCP, haha. Netflix is paranoid about anti-cracking
