Could iPad become a terminal for carplay

1. ipad cannot use map software without gps
2. The cost of external GPS is too high
3. If there is an idle ipad mini, it can be put in the car
After looking around, there is no such solution. Let the ipad become the carplay terminal of the iphone.

The ipad itself has some navigation and other applications, just use the mobile phone network. For example, the 15 # scheme is actually the latter. It just makes a stable bracket separately, puts it on the car, and takes it away when you get off the car-but I think this bracket causes the screen to be too high, which will affect the right front field of vision. If it is the former solution, if the car body supports carplay, then the Android box of carplay will be fine.
