Could iPad become a terminal for carplay

1. ipad cannot use map software without gps 2. The cost of external GPS is too high 3. If there is an idle ipad mini, it can be put in the car After looking around, there is no such solution. Let the ipad become the carplay terminal of the iphone.

iPad doesn't have CarPlay Last month, I also thought about buying a mini7 cellular version and putting it on the car. Later, I checked the official website and got confirmation from V friends here So don't think about iPad for CarPlay

What's the difference between this and when you buy a phone holder and navigate directly with your iPhone?

@ Anonymous3549 You will know why after driving long distances and using it

The ipad should use navigation software directly instead of using it as carplay, right?

It is not recommended to put products with lithium batteries in the car. If you really want to do it, just buy an iPhone 7, remove the battery and change it to direct power supply. Taobao has ready-made products.

@ Anonymous10207 Isn't the Baidu or AutoNavi navigation software for iPad similar?

@ Anonymous11291 The reason why I didn't buy the mini7 later was that I used the original money to choose between mini and Android and finally chose to buy the Pixel 9 Pro XL Navigation/CarPlay has always had an iPhone anyway (16PM 1TB) and a newly upgraded iPad Pro 13 202 4 (cellular 2TB version) this year If you don't have extra money or energy to buy a mini7, it's rare to use a mini in other places except navigation

carplay If the car has GPS, use the car's GPS

@ Poster @ Anonymous3549 There is not much difference. In the past two years, I have used my iPhone directly with my mobile phone holder for tens of thousands of kilometers every year. And I used to use Carplay, but now the touch screen of the car is broken and I have to use the iPhone directly. There is really not much difference in navigation, but if you have to be distracted from doing something else while driving, it is true that the screen is bigger and easy to operate.

If it's just navigation + media, then any tablet can be realized, not necessarily an ipad. What's more, the design scene of the ipad itself is not a car, so it's inevitable that there will be all kinds of unrealistic things, and finally it will end up with a toss.

@ Poster The carplay that comes with the car can be controlled by the car's own speakers and buttons on the steering wheel and Siri, which is of course a little different. When you use CarPlay on your iPad, you can neither use the car speaker nor use the steering wheel button Siri. Can't charge your iPhone yet. Does this have any advantages?

The core question is whether the ipad will be taken away after parking. If you don't take it away, will the power be cut off or shut down? If so, it must be restored to normal use within 15s next time you drive; If you take it away and don't put it in the car, it's nothing more than trying to make use of the big enough screen of the ipad. The ipad itself has some navigation and other applications, just use the mobile phone network. For example, the 15 # scheme is actually the latter. It just makes a stable bracket separately, puts it on the car, and takes it away when you get off the car-but I think this bracket causes the screen to be too high, which will affect the right front field of vision. If it is the former solution, if the car body supports carplay, then the Android box of carplay will be fine. I have one installed in my car and run directly into modernization; Or with a screen integration solution, there are even products combined with specific models of cars.

Make up 18 #, if you want to benefit from the old, don't bother. I have a limited iPhone 7, and the car also supports carplay. I have been thinking about how to combine the old one. But the problem of power failure could not be solved until it was finally found that an Android box solved the problem.
