According to people familiar with the matter, this move is one of Apple's strategies to deal with the decline in sales in China, aiming at providing more attractive software features. Apple started testing different AI models from well-known Chinese AI developers in 2023 and chose Baidu as its main partner last year, people familiar with the matter said.
