Is there a concept of message channel similar to Android in IOS

by Poster Feb 20, 2025 18
The pop-up messages pushed on Android have a channel concept, which classifies the pushed messages into different categories, and more formal apps will abide by it, such as marketing channels, important channels, and friend dynamic channels. Users can choose to close the promoted messages, leaving only important messages, so that they will not miss important messages but also reduce mobile advertisements. I didn't find this function after changing to my iPhone. Many banking apps push marketing information more than ten times a day. Either the notifications of this app are completely turned off, or they are bombarded by advertisements, which is very annoying.

This is not a good way. iOS basically doesn't care about the subdivision of App notifications. I think the subdivision will also be abused. First of all, cancel all advertising notifications in the App. Then on the system notification, the App checks instant notification and private message, which should also satisfy some important messages for you. Put most unimportant App notifications in the scheduled push summary or close them directly. ———— Too many notifications will lead to a black screen.

No important notification exists. It used to be all turned on, but later I found that I gave them a face, sent everything, and there was no important notification at all. The first thing to do when installing the app later was to notify the authorization pop-up that it was not allowed.

The place where AI intervention is most needed is notification classification

In fact, it is a rubbish design that prevents gentlemen but not villains. Because distinguishing channels can be completely implemented within the app

I have an iPhone and Android dual-wielding. Of the two mobile phones, only the iPhone has turned on WeChat notification, and the rest are all turned off. Wretched major companies want to send me advertising notices, you are also worthy of it?! To renew your car insurance this time, you need to go through the process at a certain treasure. The messages sent to me by the insurance company can't be received by a certain treasure, because all the internal messages of a certain treasure have been blocked by me, except that the payment messages do not support blocking. Finally, the insurance specialist guided me to find the process link in the "My" tab...

Because Apple explicitly doesn't allow the use of APNs to push ads, theoretically APNs should not have ads. So what's the use of APN classification when you say anymore? Pingduoduo uses the mandatory reminder function to push advertisements to you, and Taobao also uses live notifications to push advertisements to you.

Before falling into the Apple-Android war, let me remind you that there are usually settings in apps, such as Alipay, Taobao, Meituan 10086 and so on

@ Anonymous170 # 6 As a result, Alipay told me that my chick was lost and it was a "Time Sensitive" notification. * * * of Alibaba.

iOS only distinguishes between ordinary notifications, instant notifications, and important warnings. However, in fact, few apps distinguish between ordinary notifications and instant notifications. If you want to turn off advertising push, you can only go to the App's own settings to see if you can turn it off.

There are basically message switches in each app setting, but you need to click in and modify them one by one, which is a little troublesome. After the change, it is done once and for all. Those who do not provide a type switch and keep pushing are basically worthless messages.
