What was the experience of using the rdp client to remotely control the computer in iPad?

I recently want to look at tablets. At present, I have excluded brands such as OnePlus/oppo (the pen is too difficult to use) and Honor (the system is only updated for one year). I am hesitating between the upcoming Samsung * * galaxy tab s10 fe * * (the pen is easy to use) and Apple * * ipad air 2024 * * (good ecology), so I want to ask how to deal with these * * ecological problems * * when using an ipad (I don't have other Apple devices)
I tried to use Microsoft's * * rd client (now renamed windows app) on an Android tablet to control my computer * *, and found it very difficult to use. In touch mode, I can't trigger the right button by long pressing the screen (on the mobile phone, I can only send touch events when I release my finger on the tablet, resulting in I can't long press the right button), and I can't use the computer input method (it seems that this client is written by a group of foreigners, and I don't know what the input method is).
In addition, the reason why I think of the ipad is that the onenote on the Android side is particularly poorly adapted, and many functions are missing, but the onenote function on the ipad side is quite comprehensive, so I want to see if I can cut myself into the Apple ecosystem
At present, other remote software (such as rustdesk, parsec) I am not considering, because these software are just simple streaming screens. My computer has two monitors, and it seems difficult to automatically turn off one monitor when the remote session is connected, and automatically adjust the resolution of the other monitor to match the flat screen

Anonymous3129 Mar 25, 2025I guess it's just a little better I don't need it if I can

Poster Mar 25, 2025The main reason for ipad is that the system is a bit weird, file management and application installation are very limited, I don't know if I can adapt to it after changing it

Anonymous46 Mar 25, 2025Not so good, the price is about the same. You might as well get a MacBook Air. If you think the new model is expensive, buy an M2. Except that you can't write by hand, it's much better than an iPad. You need to pass the handwritten content from the Android Pad to the computer

Anonymous1987 Mar 25, 2025I can only say that it's okay to board and turn off the phone once in a while
-
Anonymous3130 Mar 25, 2025It's even more difficult to use. The ipad air was just released. Now it's much smoother to copy and paste the occasional remote mouse and keyboard with an Android tablet.

Anonymous7779 Mar 25, 2025Buy macbook air directly, cheaper than ipad air + keyboard combination, longer battery life and more functions

Anonymous1763 Mar 25, 2025ipad connected to Windows? Recently, I happened to use iPad connected to Windows to write code with RooCode, and I also used RD from Microsoft. I can only say that the experience is a shit... I want to buy a thin and light win book under 1kg...

Anonymous1763 Mar 25, 2025You have to support it, iPad does not have the concept of right-click at all, after connecting to win, it is a simulated right-click, rubbish

Anonymous1763 Mar 25, 2025You have to support-> you have to know

Anonymous6845 Mar 25, 2025I feel like there are pitfalls when using MBA You can paste on the remote desktop with command + v But need to be copied with control + c

Anonymous1844 Mar 25, 2025I have a say in this, because I really did it Very unhappy, I have used the mouse and keyboard, but it's very unhappy The buttons are conflicting, the resolution is very small, and the mouse pointer is also very strange. It imitates a human finger, not really a mouse like windows or mac Mouse, keyboard, add some finger operation, a bit silly I was around 2020 or 2021, and then the Bluetooth keyboard was dusted

Anonymous1763 Mar 25, 2025@ Anonymous1844 Same, I also have a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard set, which is complete rubbish

Anonymous3132 Mar 25, 2025This thing has been tried on both iOS and Android tablets. RD Client worked very well on Android tablets before, and the mouse was basically synchronized directly. As long as it was not dragged to the top and pulled outside the notification bar, it worked very well. But when I switched to an Android (Samsung) tablet later, if I used RD Client, the system would take over the cursor, and it was not easy to use when it became a double cursor. I changed it to a Remote Desktop Manager and it barely works. But now I have abandoned the pit, and I still replaced the Win thin and light notebook in one step. Even if it is only used for RDP experience, it is much better than the tablet OS. As an aside, you can try the virtual monitor streaming solution, Sunshine + Moonlight, there are many tutorials on station B. After it is connected, it can achieve the effect of inserting a virtual display, which can be set to only stream screen display in the system settings. In this way, after the connection streaming is realized, the system thinks that there is really an extra display.

Anonymous1359 Mar 26, 2025I use the second keyboard and feel good, but the touch control is used temporarily and occasionally
-
Anonymous1359 Mar 26, 2025@ Anonymous1359 My old second control keyboard doesn't have an f key, so I can't test it; The input method can be used on the computer side without any problem, but it seems that the iPad input method needs to be turned off first; It's okay to press and hold the screen with the right button, but the second control keyboard has a touchpad, so just click with two fingers and it's ok

Anonymous3133 Mar 26, 2025For ipad pro, you can use Apple pencil instead of the mouse, and the accuracy is still ok. I once used my ipad to remotely go back to the server at the airport to repair a fault. Overall, it is ok

Poster Mar 26, 2025@ Anonymous7779 It would be nice if there was a product called mac pad. The macbook has no pen and touch, and the ipad system is too closed. Apple is making money hard
-
Poster Mar 26, 2025The main reason for Apple's products is that the premium is a bit too hard. The price of iPad 11 is okay but the knife skill is too hard; The performance of ipad air is good but the price is too touching 🤣 After all, I am a person who would rather downgrade consumption than save money like crazy
