How to completely turn off the built-in monitor when using an external monitor without the cover?

MacBook, you can close the internal screen when connecting the external monitor without the cover to save GPU rendering.
The purpose is to use the built-in trackpad and keyboard (the external trackpad has the phenomenon of accidental palm touch).
It is said that using magnets can turn off the inner screen, but at the same time the touchpad and keyboard are also disabled.
Is there any solution at the software level now? The brightness is adjusted to 0. It seems that the GPU is still rendering.

Anonymous6897 Apr 6, 2025The software solution seems to only adjust the brightness of the screen, but it is actually not turned off. Magnets are placed on both sides of the keyboard to simulate the closed state and the screen will automatically turn off. Be sure to remember to put the magnets yourself. My last screen was pinched

Poster Apr 6, 2025@ Anonymous4835 @ Anonymous6897 I tried m3 macbook air. I put magnets on both sides of the keyboard and couldn't stop the screen. I went back and tried m3 16 'mbp at night.

Anonymous11000 Apr 6, 2025@ Poster It doesn't work anymore. Now it seems to have been changed to an angle sensor on the hinge. The magnet has been invalid
