Confused whether to replace MBP M2Max with Mac Mini M4Pro

Nowadays, MBP is usually used by external monitors. Then it was found that the performance of the M4Pro was already higher than that of the M2Max. Considering that it will also be used by external monitors in the future, and when it is played externally, the MBP is always placed on the right side, and the sound is asymmetrical. If you change to the Mini, you can place it directly under the monitor.
The current MBP is ` 32 + 1T `, and I want to change it to Mini ` 48 + 512G `. Does anyone have any suggestions 🤔

Anonymous5717 Apr 17, 2025In addition, after I mentioned issues in Boom3D, the software vendor also added this function

Poster Apr 17, 2025@ Anonymous5717 # 20 oh oh. There is also this functional 😂. But mine is a bit different. Mine has the computer on the right side of the monitor... so the sound is asymmetrical when played externally...

Anonymous5717 Apr 17, 2025@ Poster # 22 Then I'll update you another information. I have two MBPs, M1MAX and M4MAX. There is no difference between non-high load scenarios. M4MAX occasionally drops frames and stuck on the 15.2 system, not as smooth as M1MAX (the production environment is not updated for the time being)

Anonymous4240 Apr 17, 2025I switched from m1max to m4pro, and it feels much faster. After all, the single-core has been greatly improved, and mbp is noisy under high load, while mac mini is completely silent.

Poster Apr 21, 2025@ Anonymous4585 😂 ordered the M2 Max at this time. Is it for the sake of cost performance?
