It's annoying that it can appear so many times a day that you have to enter the password....
Just turn on the phone normally. To unlock it, I have to enter the password. Enter the password. The face ID works normally. After a while, I have to enter the password again for no reason
Has anyone encountered a similar problem how to solve it

Anonymous7297 Apr 17, 2025Mark, I also encountered it. It's really annoying. There is also a watch. When I take it off and turn on the iPhone, occasionally there will be no unlock pop-up window on it. I need to manually enter 6 passwords on the watch

Anonymous9879 Apr 17, 2025The mechanism problem is about 72 hours (once every 3 days) The Apple version is good for you/I'm afraid you forget the function Domestic Android phones also have similar ones

Poster Apr 17, 2025@ Anonymous9879 is not at all just now prompting me to enter the password to unlock the Face ID.... I can bear it once every three days, too frequent, at least five or six times a day

Poster Apr 17, 2025@ Anonymous7298 The key is not prompted to unlock failure. To open it, you need to enter the password

Poster Apr 17, 2025@ Anonymous9383 I can't choose the time here, only one immediate and I can't untick it

Anonymous7299 Apr 17, 2025@ Poster It's possible that you unconsciously unlocked it yourself, but if you don't unlock it successfully, the iphone will force you to enter the password. For example, if you cover your face with your hand and slide it two or three times without unlocking it, the iphone will let you enter the password, which may be an anti-theft mechanism. Usually, it may be caused by accidentally triggering the unlocking action in your pocket or other places but not unlocking successfully

Anonymous2725 Apr 17, 2025It often triggers password input, which is very unpleasant to use...

Poster Apr 17, 2025@ Anonymous7299 No, I'll put it on the table for a while and pick it up. I need to use my phone. Pick it up normally and use it normally. There is no obstruction. It just asks me to enter my password. Just once again. This post has been done twice

Anonymous7300 Apr 17, 2025Is it possible that it's a hardware problem

Anonymous4433 Apr 17, 2025Try re-recording the face? In addition, also turn on the face ID function of wearing a mask?

Anonymous340 Apr 17, 2025One I know is that after pressing the shutdown button 5 times, iOS will ask for forced password verification. Did you do something similar unintentionally?
-
Poster Apr 17, 2025@ Anonymous340 No, just use it normally every day. For example, if the mobile phone is left still and then picked up normally, I have to enter the password

Anonymous7301 Apr 18, 2025It may be that the battery health is too low or it is not the original battery. I was like this a few months ago, it's annoying, just get a new battery.

Poster Apr 18, 2025@ Anonymous7301 I haven't changed the battery. It's only been used for a year. I checked the battery health. It's 89%

Anonymous7301 Apr 18, 2025Then I'm not sure. You can look for other methods first, such as resetting the system settings or something. If it really doesn't work, try this method again. (I personally guess this is the reason, because I have been troubled by this problem for a long time, thinking that Face ID is broken, but after replacing the original battery, this problem actually disappeared.)
