MacOS power option "Prevent automatic sleep when using power and the monitor is turned off". What does it mean when the monitor is turned off?

https://i.imgur.com/sKBIUqA.png I'm a notebook, and the monitor here is turned off. Is it closed by the lid, or by some other way? (By the way, is there a way to turn off the built-in monitor of the notebook without the lid)?

If you don't close the display, just adjust the brightness to the lowest level and it will be completely black. Adjust it twice

    External monitor, huh?

Just literally. When on, the monitor can be turned off, but the computer does not hibernate. Usage scenario: When you use the computer in the bedroom, you need to always turn it on to run the service, but the brightness of the monitor will affect your sleep. Just turn this on and let the monitor automatically sleep after timeout, but the computer is still running.
