What level does the Mac keyboard belong to in the field of high-end laptops, and how does it feel loose?

The original poster's is M4pro 14-inch.
The tapping feels "thin and loose", especially for big keys such as command, space, shift, and enter.

Anonymous4003 Apr 21, 2025I'm wondering how many V friends upstairs who don't think low of macbook keyboards have touched the keyboard of thinkpad... Especially the non-ultra-thin thinkpad keyboard, compared to the macbook keyboard is nothing

Anonymous14768 Apr 21, 2025It's really loose feeling. It is suspected that it will be better after using it for a long time (speculated from my M1 Pro machine). I can only say that I can get used to it, but it may not be as good as the keyboard of some thousands of win notebooks

Anonymous2059 Apr 21, 2025You should understand that everyone's keyboard preferences are very different.. Personally, MBP Scissors Feet and MX Keys are relatively close. They both have very short key strokes, and there are obvious differences between pressing and releasing states. The force of pressing is small enough, so that I can type accurately for a long time without tiring. The keyboard of Thinkpad series feels too soft, the key stroke is too long, and it feels slightly sloppy. The key stroke of the mechanical keyboard is too long, and it takes more effort to press it. The trigger is still in the process of traveling. It is very tiring and unpractical to use for a long time.

Anonymous5299 Apr 21, 2025Since the MBA started the era of thinness and light, there is no easy-to-use keyboard for notebooks, and each company is half a pound Thick TPs and the like can be counted as normal keyboards

Anonymous350 Apr 21, 2025I can't play games (and there are no games to play on mac), but I can work in the office, which is much better than some gaming keyboards (the keycap stability is poor, the hand feels fleshy, and the trigger boundary is not obvious)

Anonymous906 Apr 21, 2025When I passed by the handheld ROG mechanical keyboard, Thinkpad little red dot wireless keyboard and M4 Pro MBP, I said it straight: MBP feels the worst. This is the emperor's new clothes.

Anonymous2172 Apr 22, 2025Crazy oiling, the feel is very weak compared to the mechanical keyboard

Anonymous2113 Apr 22, 2025I feel that the 14-inch keyboard feel of the M4 MacBook Pro is not as good as the 13-inch keyboard feel of the M1 MacBook Pro. It doesn't seem to be an illusion.

Anonymous9767 Apr 22, 2025Don't feel it, it's just baggy. The previous disc keyboard was like knocking on steel plates, but the current keyboard is like knocking on jelly.

Anonymous11927 Apr 22, 2025It's too easy to get oily, it's easier to sweat, it's a nightmare, now I can only get a keyboard film

Anonymous4013 Apr 22, 2025Is it at the "usable" level

Anonymous14265 Apr 22, 2025Available level

Anonymous14932 Apr 22, 2025@ Anonymous73 There is a mechanical keyboard called low-axis mechanical keyboard, which has a slightly shorter key stroke and feels a level higher than membrane keyboards

Anonymous15272 Apr 22, 2025Consistent apple level, plain water is neither too good nor too bad, and it does hit oil, and the oil stains on the lid will stain the screen

Anonymous15071 Apr 22, 2025Apple brand boiled water is the same as EarPods. There is nothing special about it, but it is really good at this level. Personally, I think the advantage is that the feeling of pressing down is very clear, and it is not tired after long-term use, which saves effort. The main shortcomings of this keyboard are all focused on the keycaps. The keycaps of abs are oiled too hard, and this oil will be printed on the screen on the current 14/16 mold. At present, I have temporarily applied a frosted film, which is applied separately to each key. The problem of oiling is much less, and there is no mark on the screen. The disadvantage is that it is very laborious to apply, and there will be a little scratch on the edges after applying. I don't know if there are pbt keycaps sold for MacBook or those for magickeyboard.

Anonymous1675 Apr 22, 2025The keyboard is okay, I feel the best one is thinkpad's.

Anonymous3004 Apr 22, 2025The keyboard experience of Mac is very good. I have been using it for more than ten years, and MXKEYS is also good. Anyway, when it comes to home MXKEYS and office use, MBP comes with its own keyboard.
