After macOS is lowered from a higher version to a lower version, can the higher version data backed up in TM still be accessed?

As mentioned in the title, if macOS directly reinstalls the lower version system from the higher version, can I still access the original higher version data from TM?

Anonymous10782 Apr 22, 2025No, generally if you cross the. 1 version number, you will be prompted that this tm is based on the new version of macOS, and you will be asked to update macOS first. It is guessed that similar to iOS, there is also a way to forcibly restore the old version by modifying the version identifier, but there will be a high probability of bugs. It can be used as an emergency means to copy the data, and finally the system must be restored normally
