AIdente Pro limits battery charging by 80%, but the battery is obviously not charging. Why is the battery temperature so high?

Official instructions recommend healthy temperatures at: 10-35 degrees Celsius
But I obviously didn't charge the battery directly. It has reached 34.1. Why is the temperature of the battery so high? It's going to exceed the health limit, as long as the adapter is plugged in, it will soar, and there are no high-cpu applications running

Anonymous7258 Apr 28, 2025The high temperature of the battery is not necessarily caused by the battery being charged. The heating of other electronic components will also affect the temperature of the battery. You can try unplugging the charger to see if the temperature changes, and 34.1 degrees is really not high for the battery

Anonymous1709 Apr 28, 2025It's only 34 degrees... The temperature has not only risen to 34 degrees. Don't be the anxious person.

Anonymous357 Apr 28, 2025I guess that Aldente limited the charging of the battery by deliberately letting the battery temperature rise and triggering the system protection mechanism. Combined with the information you gave, coupled with the fact that a friend used Aldente a lot before and broke the battery.

Anonymous7525 Apr 29, 2025No, I looked at it. Mine is about 24 °, which is not as high as yours. Is your ambient temperature too high? What is the system version?

Poster Apr 29, 2025@ Anonymous7525 # 6 I found that my battery temperature at home is around 27, but at the company it is directly 32 +

Anonymous4348 Apr 29, 2025@ Anonymous357 How can it be possible to limit charging by heating up the battery... In winter, I run inside and outside the computer backpack for a long time when I take it out, and I plug it in with my hands. This limit charging is not a limit charging. Why should I take the computer to run into a warm baby? Limit charging when it heats up? My last m1 air has been using Aldente for almost 3 years, 165 cycles and 91% efficiency. Besides, macOS's own charging protection also has a system-level function that can be called when charging is suspended.

Anonymous7525 Apr 29, 2025@ Poster What about the system version? It may be caused by the system version. My system version is 15.3. I started to look at it again, and the temperature is now around 30-31 degrees. Maybe the ambient temperature in the company is higher than that at home.

Anonymous357 Apr 29, 2025@ Anonymous4348 Well, I'm just guessing that the battery is definitely abnormal at 34 degrees. Maybe there is a conflict between Aldente and other software, or maybe it's a bug displayed. In fact, the temperature is not that high.

Anonymous7203 Apr 30, 2025There is an open source software, better than Aldente, with updated API.
