How to connect mac to Android through data cable for screen mirroring or expansion (instead of using LAN screen projection)?

After checking online, it is basically talking about installing the screen casting app and casting the mac screen to Android in the LAN However, the premise of this is LAN, and in public places, such as coffee shops, wifi generally isolates the mutual access between different devices for security reasons, so it is impossible to cast the screen on LAN

Video capture card or usb hotspot, usb hotspot is supposedly the most convenient, and it doesn't require any additional equipment.

@ Anonymous344 I just asked this question after I tried it. Am I just doing a thought experiment?

@ Poster There are many situations where it doesn't work after trying. Do you conclude that it's because of network isolation?

    This one? https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy

Which one casts for which? If you go from Android to mac, it is scrcpy If you switch from mac to Android, you need to use a capture card

@ Anonymous344 So what advice do you have to judge whether it is because of network isolation? I can't even share files with wifi in public places and localsend LAN. But after mac and Android switch to my mobile phone hotspot, both localsend and screen projection are available

Connect Android to the network card, turn on Ethernet sharing, connect to Mac, and then use the network protocol

Your question is a bit strange, it seems that you are asking how to remotely access Android to mac

OPPO Find N5 is supported, but the small screen reverse control large screen experience cannot be good. When it was released, it was also said that it was only for emergency purposes

What kind of device is "Android"? 1. If it is a monitor or TV with Android system, it mainly depends on whether the Mac can recognize your monitor as an external monitor. For example, Xiaomi TVs and Samsung high-end monitors are all compatible. 2. If it is an Android phone, I feel that what you need is a remote tool. You can turn on screen sharing in Mac and install a VNC control software in Android. At this time, Android is configured to be the network access point of mac, and peer-to-peer WiFi is definitely possible. 3. If it is an Android tablet, maybe you need software like this? https://github.com/zanjie1999/meDisplay Similar paid software is Splashtop Wired XDisplay

@ Poster Capture packets and see if you can hear the traffic of other STAs besides yourself and the gateway

Perhaps you are talking about the Sidecar mode that is turned on when the ipad is connected to the Mac, turning the ipad into an extended screen for Mac? However, to achieve a similar experience on Android tablets, it depends on the level of support of third-party apps
