Does anyone know what Apple's policy is to protect battery problems?

I bought the iphone15pro in January 24. Almost a year after this year, I found that the back cover was tilted. Recently, I found that it was getting more and more irritating, so I took a closer look and found that the back cover was tilted even higher. So I suspected that it was a battery bulge, and then it was said on the Internet that no matter how long the battery problem lasted, Apple could replace it for free and extend the warranty. I believed it. I made an appointment with genius bar, but there is no directly operated store in Xi'an, only an officially authorized repair point like Baibang. The staff said that if it is guaranteed, it is out of warranty. They have no right to replace the battery for me for free, and if I want to confirm the problem, I need to disassemble it. Look, the disassembly fee is 199, and the battery seems to be 900. Then I called apple's official customer service, and they also said that apple only guarantees that there will be no quality problems within one year, and they will ignore all problems after the warranty. Then they said that they can only adopt the hardware department's out-of-warranty policy. So this kind of battery problem, battery bulge problem, is it really only guaranteed for one year? What if it blows up one day... I use my personality to guarantee that the mobile phone will never be dismantled, repaired or bumped. It is purely a quality control problem. I don't know what to do.

I definitely don't care about the repair point, it must be a directly operated store.

Otherwise, how long will it last? Is it a lifetime warranty 🤣 It seems that it will only be replaced if it is less than 80% during the warranty period, but it is almost impossible to reduce it. The price is so expensive that it feels like it's all Apple tax. Generally, replacing the battery of an Android phone will cost one or two hundred

Unless there is a large-scale problem and the official recall plan can be repaired out of warranty, it will be repaired free of charge within one year.

@ Anonymous3811 online said that after three years of use, the battery bulge has been replaced... This is purely a mobile phone quality control problem, not a broken lens or anything

@ Anonymous448 The maintenance point can't be managed, and cities without direct stores can only admit it. This is purely a quality control problem. I bought something for 9000 yuan, and after using it for 1 year and 2 months, I broke my own water spirit. Bad luck draws a machine of poor quality

@ Anonymous3811 My battery is bulging now when it is 88% healthy. There is no disassembly, repair or bump, and the chargers are all from the original factory. Even the original adapter was bought at the workstation for 129. Alas, I think I am unlucky

@ Poster The maintenance point is outsourced and just does the work. Only direct-operated stores can negotiate. In your case, just replace it with a third-party battery

You have to be reasonable and pay for the repair after the warranty is out

Coordinated in Beijing, if the ipad pro has an out-of-warranty battery bulge, it needs to be repaired at a fee. Due to the characteristics of the ipad (the battery will be replaced with a new machine), you can pay for the battery to replace the entire machine. Theoretically, it will take one year if the official doesn't release the recall plan, right? Otherwise, like the mac, the battery is usually replaced when it is bulging. Wouldn't it mean that the official can replace the battery indefinitely?..

@ Anonymous351 There is no objection to paying for repairs, but I just lament the quality of Apple. Many domestic manufacturers have a 2-year warranty, and they also have the confidence to ensure that there will be no problems with quality control in 2 years

@ Anonymous6606 Well, except for the battery accident, all other components are understandable. The safety problem of the battery is very serious, and it breaks down in one year. The quality is too difficult to convince consumers. And I searched on Douyin, and there are not a few 15pro bulges

On the surface, the iPhone has a one-year warranty for the entire machine, unless the official confirms that there is a recall plan for batch quality problems, such as the iPhone 13 battery bulge and the 14plus camera.

@ Anonymous10743 Yes, only apple can do

It is possible that the direct store will change it for you for free, but it is only possible, and the probability is not high. But Baibang, an authorized and third-party maintenance point, will definitely charge you money. If the warranty is out, find a third party to replace it.

Unless the law stipulates that Apple's after-sales service is a global unified standard, there is nothing we can do about it. Bulging is a problem with the characteristics of lithium batteries, which will happen randomly in any brand. If there are no fault statistics significantly higher than the normal level, there is no quality problem. If you go to a directly-operated store and encounter a clerk who is easy to talk to, he may directly change it for you, but don't expect too much from the after-sales environment in China that generally guards against you

If the bulge can be replaced for free, then I can earn money. The Northeast fire kang is so hot that if you put it under the mattress for a day, all batteries will have to bulge https://i.imgur.com/RV7y6tR. png

The batteries are all one year old, and many of them are said to be three years old because they bought apple care. I bought all my computers from apple care. I bought a mobile phone last time, and it dropped to 80% after three years. I also replaced it at my own expense

@ Anonymous8274 There is no safety problem with battery loss. The battery bulge really cannot be underestimated. If you have a small probability of drawing a product of poor quality, you can only admit that you are unlucky

Look less at marketing accounts and learn to find the real source yourself

Please refer to the Apple Support page for warranty policy. The iPhone only has a one-year limited warranty on the whole machine. In your case, you can find 400, and then transfer it to a senior technical consultant. If you talk to them, they may be able to apply for a free replacement for you (according to a special case, you tell them that you think it is unreasonable for the battery to bulge after more than a year of use). On this issue, 400's authority may be higher than that of Genius Bar. Of course, if you go to Genius Bar to find a manager, you may also be able to repair it for free through the "customer satisfaction" channel. (According to my experience, the authority of the Genius Bar manager is not very high either. The after-sales system is locked and the manager has no way)
