iOS 18.4.1 Only uses Safari to browse the web and heats up steadily

by Poster May 5, 2025 18
I found this problem in mid-April. It only heated when I used Safari, and it was extremely hot. I just warned the high temperature and couldn't be charged. After I got it at 16pm, I actually rarely get heat when using other apps, so this time Safari's heat sensing is too strong I used to struggle with which one is better, Safari or Chrome on Mac. Now I find that this browser that is strongly bound to the system is like IE. Compared with Chrome's high-intensity updates, even the problem of occupying too much memory has been solved. As a result, Apple has such a serious problem with Safari on mobile phones that has not been fixed for so long. Now 18.4.1 is still the latest official version ps: I don't know if feedback is useful: [https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone/] (https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone/)

The newly bought 16plus is 18.3.2, but fortunately it has not been upgraded

It's annoying to often get hot with 16 pro, especially now that it's hot, and it's good to warm your hands when it's cold

Is there any plugin to open? Or the web page browsed on the mobile phone has a bug (the web page's own). I saw someone on the raycast official website before, and it was stuck and full on the mac. You can check it out. It is also possible that there is stealing some messy js? See if adguard can reduce some. Otherwise, safari bugs have to wait to be fixed.

Changed to chrome, the price is that there is no advertising plug-in

I thought it was a problem with my plug-in, but it turns out that it has always been a Safari bug. When I watch the news on my ipad mini, it's hot.

Me too, and it feels sliding up and switching tabs is a bit stuck. Currently, the commonly used browser is the Focus browser, which can install the advertising oil monkey script

There is indeed this kind of problem. If it heats up, you can only restart the phone

@ Anonymous5046 Then it seems that iOS18.4 was available in early April. I remember that iOS18.3. 2 didn't have this problem. 18.4 was upgraded for 5GA at the beginning... @ Anonymous2912 Try to close all web pages opened by Safari and use them again? @ Anonymous2374 18.3.2 Pin it, although I have encountered the problem of black screen circles in this version, it is much better than 18.4 @ Anonymous13914 16pm It doesn't heat up when using other apps every day, and sometimes bare metal even feels cold. Try closing all tabs in Safari? @ Anonymous2238 has a Safari plug-in that uses immersive translation, but it has been installed for a long time. It has been available since 18.2. It hasn't been hot before, so it doesn't look like a plug-in @ Anonymous5047 I also switched to Chrome. It's really uncomfortable without a plug-in, but compared with the situation where it's so hot that it can't even be charged, I don't feel like I won't switch back to Safari in the future @ Anonymous5048 It turns out that I have this problem on the iPad too... @ Anonymous5049 I remembered that my S10 watch didn't have a full charge notification, and I have been waiting for a long time:-( @ Anonymous13965 No need to restart, just close all Safari web pages and let it sit for a while

There is a problem with the Safari iCloud tab in 18.3.2, and it is fixed in 18.4. Is this the reason
  • Anonymous13630 May 6, 2025
Returned 18.3 RC for this reason

No wonder I try to get hot after watching the live broadcast for a while
