The standby power consumption of m4 except the cpu part is much higher than that of m3. How much is yours?

I recently bought the m4 max and found that compared with the m3 pro, in standby mode (when the cpu + gpu power consumption is within 1w), the total power consumption in normal mode is 8-9w, while the m3 pro is only 5w. When the power saving mode is turned on, the total power consumption of m4 max is 7-8w, and that of m3 pro can reach 3-4w.
I know that the screen will account for part of the power consumption, but it seems that the rest of the m4 max still accounts for a lot of power consumption, including the total power consumption when the screen is not lit when the plug-in cover is closed. Is the rest memory or something? Can't mine leak electricity?
cpu + gpu power consumption can be seen with sudo powermetrics or macmon
The total power consumption can be viewed with macmon or aldente etc
Here is the macmon screenshot

Anonymous561 May 9, 2025It should be normal for max itself to be higher than pro, right?

Anonymous3180 May 9, 2025Relax, my M3 Max is turned on when it is full and does nothing. Using AlDente, the total power consumption is also 8 or 9W, and occasionally the screen brightness rises to 14W when it is high; Compared with the company's old mold M2, it is only about 5W.

Anonymous7779 May 9, 2025The max battery life is inherently higher than that of the pro pure digital, and the m4 MacBook air is 0.6 w when I watch powermetrics on Douyin

Anonymous1771 May 9, 2025My macmini m4 pro standby is 4w.

Poster May 9, 2025@ Anonymous561 But the power consumption of cpu + gpu in the max standby state is also within 1w. Is it true that the max single memory power consumption is 3w higher than that of pro?

Anonymous448 May 9, 2025@ Poster Memory bandwidth is high
-
Poster May 9, 2025@ Anonymous3180 Is this the same for m3 max? Then I feel relieved. I thought it was a problem with this one

Poster May 9, 2025@ Anonymous7779 powermetrics looks at the power consumption of cpu + gpu. Whether it is pro or max standby, it is within 1w. The key is other parts
-
Poster May 9, 2025@ Anonymous448 Then this memory bandwidth has too much impact on battery life, right?

Anonymous8156 May 9, 2025max > pro > normal
-
Anonymous7148 May 9, 2025The memory bit width of the m4 max is 512 bits, while the m3 pro only has 192 bits. In addition, the overall scale is so different that the standby power consumption is double
-
Anonymous3181 May 9, 2025In m1, max consumes more power than pro. After all, the size of the gpu has doubled, and the codec has also doubled

Anonymous6288 May 9, 2025DRAM consumes high power, as mentioned in many reviews

Anonymous8174 May 10, 2025Mac Mini M2 WiFi, Bluetooth fully on, two external HDDs Power consumption within 6W/hour. The above is not considered within the 1W boasted on the Internet, and the sum is very high

Anonymous454 May 10, 2025@ Anonymous8174 # 14 The online review is with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on, but external devices definitely do not count
-
Anonymous8174 May 11, 2025@ Anonymous454 Bluetooth and WiFi alone can break 2W, I don't know how they counted it

Anonymous7148 May 13, 2025@ Anonymous8174 A small host used as a desktop computer is really entangled between 2 watts or 5 watts. It doesn't make sense. It's not the difference between 2 watts and 20 watts. A fan will turn.

Anonymous8174 May 13, 2025@ Anonymous7148 I just don't want to be whored for resources for nothing. From the perspective of energy saving and usage, it is recommended to shut down the phone if there is no service
