You are part of the Settlement Class if you are the current or previous owner or purchaser of a Siri device, reside in the United States or its territories, and your confidential or private communication information was obtained by Apple and/or shared with third parties as a result of an accidental activation of Siri between September 17, 2014 and December 31, 2024. Under the terms of the settlement, if the court approves the settlement and the final judgment is given, you are eligible to file a claim form to recover compensation. What does this settlement offer? Apple has agreed to pay $95 million to the settlement fund. I attest that I purchased or owned the Siri Device (s) above, reside in the United States or its territories, and enabled Siri on that device/those devices; I certify that I purchased or own the aforementioned Siri device, reside in the United States or its territories, and have Siri enabled on that device/these devices; Not in America, no solution (I won't lie, it's a serious crime)

I thought it was a fraud...

I also received it. At first, I thought it was a fraudulent email, but I didn't get it. It felt so troublesome.

I received it yesterday on 5.12. Think about it. Although I activated several devices during this period, I didn't continue to apply without a local account in the United States

    Where is @ Anonymous8766 stuck?
  • Anonymous3631 May 13, 2025
I'm actually curious about whether Apple sent this email itself, or did Apple export the user's Apple ID to a third party...
  • Anonymous13355 May 13, 2025
Who can get this money? Hahahaha
  • Anonymous8430 May 13, 2025
I dropped it directly into the junk mailbox. How did I get this personal information?
  • Anonymous8767 May 13, 2025
For $20 fraud? 😱 If you don't live in the United States, you don't participate in 🙁

@ Anonymous3631 # 14 @ Anonymous8430 # 16 Courts can extract (subpoena) information from Apple, after all > Apple uses personal data... to communicate with you... and to comply with law. Generally speaking, the company that coordinates the settlement (so-called settlement administrator) is responsible for sending these emails, and in addition to emails, notifications will also be sent in the form of postcards. Settlement administrator is a neutral third party appointed by the court, so it must not be Apple.
