First of all, due to battery life and photography reasons, the main phone has always been domestic Android (Mate > Vivo); The backup machine 13mini is mainly used to brush Duolingo and Carplay; The iPad Pro is 11 inches, has the same size and weight, can be used, and has a daily secondary screen; Office is a MacBook
I used the iPad mini6 honeycomb panel, and the jelly screen didn't feel much. However, at that time, the software adaptation was not perfect and it felt very awkward. Later, my classmates gave it to him if they wanted it.
Coming to 2025, Duolingo is stuck from time to time on the 13mini, and occasionally kills the background (after all, it only has 4G memory). At the same time, the Lighting interface is indeed inconvenient for daily charging, so I want to switch to a higher version of the iPhone. From the 15 series to the 16 series, there is nothing suitable, and I feel a little discouraged when I look at the 16e.
Summarized several key upgrade points that I want to see after 2024: esim, Apple AI (future), large memory (8G), and my own needs: portable, low price, non-main force. It turns out that the iPad mini7 esim version basically covers it. At the same time, JD went to national subsidy + free traffic + installment, and finally bought one.
After one week of experience, the experience of mini6 has been greatly improved compared with the previous launch period, and the price/performance ratio is even better. We will wait and see the subsequent AI performance.

Anonymous6633 May 13, 2025What price did you buy?

Anonymous2224 May 13, 2025I also entered one last month. I originally wanted to use it to play games, but it turned out that the game I played would be very stuck when turning on medium picture quality. I had already thrown it to my wife to watch dramas. Another point is that the brightness of the screen is not high, and it always feels dark. It is either the brightness after the heat drops, or the highest brightness at ordinary times

Anonymous3859 May 13, 2025I also bought one, but the price dropped really fast. 256 esim dropped from 4299 to 3699 now. I feel that there is still room for decline

Poster May 13, 2025@ Anonymous6633 Guangdong national subsidy superimposed JD Plus-3899, not as favorable as @ Anonymous3859's 3699; @ Anonymous2224 Yes, it's okay to watch dramas and brush station B. The brightness has been discovered when I was in the car. It's indeed a bit forced to be outdoors during the day

Anonymous1882 May 14, 2025Is the original poster a dual-wielder of 13mini and mini7? I always feel that the mini7 is still a bit big, and it looks weird when taken out of the subway.

Poster May 14, 2025@ Anonymous1882 I am the main machine of Vivo (the main office suite interoperates better with Mac than Mate), and 13mini is the backup machine; Mini 7 is a daily experience and has not completely replaced 13mini It also feels a little big; "It's weird to take it out on the subway" +1, and it's not very stable to hold with one hand

Anonymous6101 May 14, 2025I returned to China in April and entered China Unicom's 256G + esim. China Unicom's annual traffic is 300G. After the national subsidy, it's 3999, so beautiful. Except for the temporary inability to open AI, it is much better than the plus version. I can add other esims after I come back

Poster May 16, 2025@ Anonymous6101 Ask Much better than the plus version-apart from the price and sending traffic, what is the specific advantage? You can add other esims after you come back-do other esims refer to domestic operators or foreign operators? Have you already practiced it? Because only China Unicom is doing esim in China, and some foreign countries (especially Europe) operators' support for esim in China is still vague

Anonymous6101 May 16, 2025Much better is the price. The same product is 2000rmb cheaper, which is not as good as 🙀. You can add overseas esim, I have already practiced it. But China Unicom esim has no service here directly.
