Why is the x icon in the macOS window not centered?

I shouldn't be alone in noticing it, right? The pattern inside the close button of the macOS window is significantly uncentered.

As shown in the picture, the most uncomfortable thing is the red x, which is obviously biased to the upper left
Why don't Apple designers pay attention to such simple, high-frequency and obvious content? Could it be deliberate?
Moreover, this is a screenshot enlarged, and it's not even that obvious. If you open a window yourself and look at this button when the icon is small, the visual feeling of not being centered will be more obvious.
