When I watch the HDR video downloaded from YouTube on my iPhone, I feel that the HDR is completely broken

Mobile: iPhone 16 Pro Max + iOS 18.4.1 The screen of the device supports HDR playback, so it should be possible to eliminate problems with the hardware of the playback device. Use a certain yt-dlp kernel software to download 4K HDR videos from YouTube. After downloading, the file format is webm. Use infuse to open and play, and the appearance of rotten HDR is presented, with various overexposures. Open it directly with the YouTube APP on your mobile phone. The exposure is normal, and the light and dark details are well preserved. What is the reason for this? Is it the download or the player? Have any friends researched it?

When downloading yt-dlp, select mp4 for the video stream, and select mp4 package for the output file and try again

Is it that the player is not compatible with webm format? webm can't play with infuse or vidhub, but nplayer can; Select mkv format when downloading in the future, general players are compatible

@ Anonymous12548 Thanks for your reply, but I tried the conversion of ffmpeg. A 3GB video feels like it takes several hours to convert. This method may be too time-consuming. @ Anonymous1668 Thanks for the reply, yt-dlp-F looked at it, HDR is here on webm, mp4 does not have HDR. @ Anonymous107 @ Anonymous486 Thanks for your reply. I tried nplayer and it is normal. At least I can't tell the difference from the YouTube client. However, the playback is very stuck, and there is a serious out-of-sync audio and video. I tried both soft and hard solutions, but the stuck situation still exists.
