M4pro loses power very quickly

by Poster May 20, 2025 18
I just bought the cover version m4pro some time ago and found that the battery consumes power very fast. I unplugged it at 16:00 in the afternoon and got off work at 18:40 in the evening. The battery remained 64. I went to work at 9:30 the next day and until 11:20. The battery remained 42. During this period, it was Feishu, chrome, idea, navicat, and then the activity monitor looked at the 12-hour energy consumption. The first is idea 1049, and the second is chrome 134.

It recovered after a few days of normal use

Both idea and Chrome are big power consumers...

Where is the performance of M4Pro? As long as there are tasks, it always occupies the large core. The power goes off very quickly

And it's extremely hot under high load. Now I don't dare to touch the metal at the air outlet under the screen

Intel's anxiety is cured, the frequency is high, everyone is the same, waiting for Apple to take off at 5Ghz

The power consumption of the pro series chips is very high, which is normal. If you need it, you can only choose the version without suffix at present. Apple has not given the pro option to reduce the frequency to obtain longer battery life

@ Anonymous5876 has been using it for almost a month now...

@ Anonymous354 Like this, they are actually all plug-in, but the official website says it has a battery life of more than ten hours, which is a bit worse

@ Anonymous12352 That's not necessary, it's all plugged in. After buying such an expensive computer, of course you have to fully enjoy it

@ Anonymous9595 I'm fine with the heat. I also put a moft bracket on the back, which doesn't heat much

@ Poster official website is talking about using Safari to surf the Internet. Do you want more than ten hours for a big user like idea + chrome? Zenith Technology idea CPU memory disk usage is large Chrome also uses a lot of memory It would be good if both of these were on and used for half a day

@ Poster should be the time of performance core ~ but if op if used the i9 version of that year. You will feel that the current battery life is too good. Hahaha

Isn't it normal to lose power quickly? Whether there is any problem with the power-down speed is determined by comparison. You first take a win book of the CPU with the same performance level to increase the strength according to your usage method, compare the remaining power for a fixed usage time, and then discuss the power-down speed. "But the official website says it has a battery life of more than ten hours, which is a bit worse." Not bad, I'll open safari for you. Look at the one next door that is far ahead. You can secretly have fun with Apple. It's doing it by comparison methods of friends and businessmen.

The Pro series should have a lower battery life than the standard version... because the performance and quantity of P cores have been strengthened, and there are fewer E cores. Many tasks will lose power crazily when the P cores are run, not to mention the few tasks you run. They are all very famous electric tigers...
