Japanese version of iPhone 16 Pro Max DingTalk check-in abnormally in a subway station. Help: Cellular data is normal and positioning fails frequently

by Poster May 22, 2025 23
1. Abnormal phenomenon: After entering the subway station, the DingTalk positioning continues to deviate or displays "positioning failure", and the punch-in cannot be completed; Changing the Gaode map and the self-brought map can't be positioned normally; The cellular data signal displays normal (LTE/4G identification), and attempts to manually switch to 4G are sporadically successful; Switch to an Android phone (such as Huawei Mate series) at the same location to punch in normally; After leaving the station, the positioning returned to stability, and the problem only appeared in the subway station. 2. Tried solutions: Confirm that the cellular data function is normal and the virtual positioning software is not installed; Turn off Wi-Fi, restart location services, and update DingTalk to the latest version; Manually switching network mode to 4G (partially mitigating the problem, but low success rate); Replace multiple subway stations for testing, and the problem reappears. Currently using China Mobile's sim card, please help me see if this problem is common in the Japanese version of iPhone, or is it an example, is there a solution

The positioning in the iPhone subway station is often like this, and it takes a long time to slow down. Either people arrive at the company subway station and the positioning is still at home, or they wait a few minutes or switch the airplane mode several times, and they are used to it...

@ Anonymous11341 It's really true that I've never used Android before. Does the base station have special optimization for Android?

@ Poster My colleagues also said that their Android is very easy to punch in

@ Anonymous11341 Hey, I want to buy another Android to check in

There may be no satellite signal in the subway station, and it is definitely inaccurate to calculate the location by other means Android estimates that automatic punch-in is turned on. In fact, there are processes left in the background and there are motion trajectories. In this case, inertial navigation can take effect and be more accurate

@ Anonymous8449 Indeed, I also found out before that Android's gps principle says inertial navigation. It seems that Android's background does not kill positioning by default. In disguise, Apple is safer? Ha ha

The fruit machine can only watch ppt on the subway, and the signal on the subway may be fake

The same was true for me last time. I could only punch in by walking from the subway to the lobby on the first floor.

It has nothing to do with the Japanese version, and so does the Chinese trip.

@ Anonymous2380 Hmmmm, me too. It seems that it has no direct relationship with iPhones in different regions

What system are you? The iOS17 system has always had the problem of positioning offset. After upgrading to iOS18, it is normal.

It has nothing to do with the version, just turn on airplane mode again, there is really no problem with Android, I don't know how the iPhone calculates the location...

@ Anonymous3055 @ Anonymous1683 has been upgraded to the latest system, and switching airplane mode fails to solve the problem

Don't you consider who provides the base station equipment

It seems to be a problem with the iPhone. Both devices encountered the same problem in the European version of my country. Just restart the phone

It should be that Apple's own ability is not enough

Speaking of DingTalk punching in, once, I punched in on the subway, which was far away from the company. I punched in the off-duty card through DingTalk the day before after get off work, and never opened DingTalk again. Then I opened DingTalk on the subway the next morning, and suddenly I got a work card. It may be because DingTalk cached the positioning and the signal on the subway was not good.

First of all, the Wi-Fi switch should be on whether it is connected to Wi-Fi or not. Second, try to use Wi-Fi (public Wi-Fi) in the subway. Even if you turn off Wi-Fi after punching in. As far as I know, the positioning of Shanghai using subway public Wi-Fi is very accurate.

@ Anonymous3058 Hahaha, it can still be operated like this, 666 @ Anonymous704 Now it seems that Shentong's free wifi can't be found

The Japanese version of iphone is the same in Japan. It cannot connect to the Internet in the subway, and the positioning is disorderly https://i.imgur.com/NIvxivj.png
