ice, an icon management tool, often has the problem of icons jumping randomly. Have you encountered it?

ice is a menubar icon management tool in the upper right corner on macos, open source, similar to bartender. Pretty easy to use
But in the past few months I have been using it, there are several very obvious problems, and I don't know how to consider them:
1. After turning on the "Permanent Hide" function, the new icon will only appear in Permanent Hide. I have to go to the settings and drag it out every time.
2. Frequently disturb the position of the set icon. Just now, the Do Not Disturb icon was hidden, so much so that I always thought I didn't turn on Do Not Disturb.

Anonymous7992 May 23, 2025It's an old Bug, see how long GH hasn't been updated

Anonymous73 May 23, 2025Yes, it can't remember the location of the icon, which often does, and hardly updates it. So I switched to Barbee, and it worked great.

Poster May 25, 2025@ Anonymous7992 Do you have any recommendations for similar tools? Does bartender still work now @ Anonymous73 Thanks, I'll give it a try

Anonymous908 May 25, 2025I switched back to Bartender because of this problem. If you are worried about Bartender peeping, you can consider using a firewall to prevent it from connecting to the Internet.
