1. The hard disk box hibernation is turned on by default, and the hibernation needs to be turned off through specific software under Windows system.
2. Even if the hard disk box is turned off for hibernation, the Mac is still disconnected while sleeping.
3. It only supports 20Gbps under the USB3. 2gen 2 × 2 protocol, but the promotional page emphasizes that 20Gbps supports USB3.2 Gen2 × 2 and above interfaces, but the actual situation is that the Thunderbolt 3/4 interface of Mac mini M4 only supports 10Gbps.
Do you have any reliable hard disk boxes that you can recommend?

Anonymous483 May 27, 2025The cheapest 40g I have been using is on the m4 macmini. I bought it from pdd and have been using it for half a year. It seems that I have encountered no problems

Anonymous484 May 27, 2025# 3 This is in line with expectations. Mac only supports USB protocol up to 10Gb. The USB3. 2gen 2 × 2 20Gb is de facto obsolete. If you want high speed, just go to USB4/Thunderbolt 4.

Whether it's U.2, M.2, or docking stations, there are all. I am using 3 Thunderbolt 5 U.2 hard drive enclosures, 1 USB4 U.2 hard drive enclosure, 3 4-bay U.2 Thunderbolt 3 hard drive enclosures, Thunderbolt 5 M.2 hard drive enclosures, Thunderbolt 3 M.2 hard drive enclosures... v Friend Welfare, if you come to me, you can break a bone.
