Questions about iPhone type-c charging cable

I always see maintenance videos saying that Android's type-c and Apple's type-c are not universal and the pins are different
Using Android's type-c will cause damage to the motherboard, or remove the motherboard to replace the capacitor or replace the charging port.
Now, such as iPad mini7 and 15 series and 16 series, when you buy power banks now, merchants say they are universal.
Wouldn't that mean that Android's type-c can also be used on iPhone...

Anonymous330 May 27, 2025The early problem, and it was a design defect of the iPad. It could not be charged later. During the warranty period, go directly to the after-sales service for a free replacement Reference: https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/591799088 There are no problems with subsequent new devices. All the iPhone 15 I use are charged with third-party cables

Anonymous107 May 27, 2025Android is mostly a line of magic modification protocol. If it doesn't support PD, it can't be charged quickly. Can the physical interface be different or it be burned because of different protocols?
-
Anonymous119 May 27, 2025The a2c cable modified by domestic mobile phones does not conform to the standard pd protocol, so the iphone will refuse the pd handshake Use the standard a2c cable that does not support fast charging of domestic mobile phones and there will be no problem Or use c2c line

Anonymous351 May 27, 2025In fact, my wife's 15Pro has been charged with Xiaomi/Cooltech's c2c or a2c for more than 1 year and it's fine

Anonymous475 May 27, 2025The merchant said that his power bank can use Android and Apple, but he didn't tell you that the Android cable can be used for Apple, right?
-
Poster May 27, 2025@ Anonymous475 The power bank comes with 2 cables, one is a type-c cable.
-
Poster May 27, 2025@ Anonymous119 Are the c2c lines all ok?
-
Anonymous476 May 27, 2025There is no problem with regular c to c lines with e-marker.

Anonymous477 May 27, 2025Thanks to the EU for unifying charging port standards?
-
Anonymous8449 May 27, 2025In fact, it is caused by the magic change line of A2C Apple is PD. Foreign Android is basically PD and the standard of C2C is PD, so normal wires are universal

Anonymous478 May 27, 2025@ Poster 7L From personal experience, in the past few years, my MBP, win notebook, iPad pro, iPhone, Android, etc. have mixed various c2c cables, including original cables and self-purchased anker, Greenlink c2c fast charging cables or Thunderbolt 4 cables, such as using an MBP head with an anker cable to charge a win notebook, etc., have been used for many years, and all devices are fine. But.... once when I used a certain miscellaneous c2c cable (I forgot whether it came with a night light or a portable monitor), the iPad heated up very seriously. In the next few days, even if I changed the original head + cable, charging became extremely slow. After that, I dare not use miscellaneous cables.

Anonymous479 May 27, 2025Refer to this video: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1QaJ5zxEFK The main reason is that the C port of the previous equipment used the shell as the C port frame, but the shell was not strong enough, which easily caused the plug to shake. After the plug was crooked, the short circuit of the power cord and the adjacent line burned out the power supply chip and even the motherboard, and the tongue was not hard enough and easy to wear, which also easily caused the short circuit of the adjacent line. It has nothing to do with the wire used, this problem may occur if you use the original wire Theoretically, the new Apple device strengthens this aspect, and it should not be as prone to problems as before

Anonymous480 May 27, 2025Android's C-port lines are all magically modified, while Apple's is a standard C-port. Recently, I discovered that the iPhone data cable can charge Android phones to about 45W, but only 20W + for iPhones. I live in Bengbu

Poster May 27, 2025@ Anonymous476 Thank you for answering the question, I checked that the data cables of my order are all e-marker.

Anonymous452 May 27, 2025@ Poster # 6 Forget about the cable sent by the power bank. Your question is not for the Android line, but the miscellaneous copycat line

Anonymous481 May 27, 2025Both type-c and type-c are common. At most, the short board effect cannot achieve the maximum speed. The ones that are not common are a2c and c2c.
-
Anonymous482 May 27, 2025It's all nonsense
-
Anonymous480 May 27, 2025@ Anonymous10073 No nonsense, there are many magic modifications in Android, and different pins cause hardware damage to the standard C port, not only for the iPhone, but also for electronic products such as home appliances. Search a lot of cases on Xiaohongshu, such as this: http://xhslink.com/a/iwXAvODvV9wdb. Domestic Android magic modifications are a mess. Some brands' own model A cables can only run 18W or even lower when used on their own model B, while others don't charge them directly when used on other mobile phones. The internal standards of the C-port alliance are in a mess, and they have no energy or ability to control domestic Android
