macbook 16 screen and keyboard bump, go to a direct store to replace the coating

Record my experience of replacing my mbp 16 coating last week, I bought it newly in March, thinking of getting it done in one step, so I went directly to the 48G one and took the state subsidy. I have the habit of traveling around with my laptop on my back, and between the 16-inch screen and the keyboard, it is easy to deform due to pressure. The screen will hit the keyboard, I don't know how to put pictures in v2, just think about it, the keyboard prints that can't go up and down on the screen I went to the Apple store in Qibao, and the genius first asked me if I had bought apple care, and then I said I didn't, and the genius said, that's not good The atmosphere at that time was very depressing. Several geniuses and I were sitting in front of the wooden table in the Apple Store, surrounded by a terrible mbp screen. Then they discussed it and calculated it for me. The cheapest price to change the screen is 6400. I gasped and sort of regretted not putting on a film. I fought with them again there, and I said that I had only bought it for 2 months. Can they just be accommodating and help me change the screen, give me a warranty or something? I asked: If I go to a third party, is there any warranty? They are honest and say that if you replace the screen, your screen will no longer be guaranteed, but your body and other hardware problems will still give you a warranty. Yes. I thought about it and told them, then I would go first. It wasn't too big a show. I was a little lost. On the way back, I passed by a computer city and showed it to an old brother. The old brother said that you don't need to change the screen. A layer of film on your screen is broken, and it can be replaced on the spot, so it cost 600. +200 manual fee. 1 hour later... it was replaced and it is as good as new. I wonder if they can tell if I have replaced the screen coating and disassembled the machine. I used to think that if the screen was bumped and scratched, I had to replace the screen. I didn't expect that the maintenance could be so flexible. It turns out that the outermost layer of mbp's screen is a layer of plastic.. Everyone should also protect their screens. I have a deep memory of this day's tossing.

Suddenly I thought if the title was a bit inaccurate, It should be the story of going to a third party to change the coating after going to a directly-operated store to change the screen and being rejected. Now I bought a film to stick it, but it's still a bit painful to spend 800 yuan.

The atmosphere at that time was very depressing. Several geniuses and I were sitting in front of the wooden table in the Apple Store, surrounded by a terrible mbp screen. It's really a bit desperate here, because I asked them repeatedly, can this screen be replaced with just the external screen? Is there a way to fix it? They said yes, there is really no way, there is only one way, that is, to replace the whole screen. We don't have a partial screen repair plan. It almost makes me feel hopeless.

Ah, can you just change the outer layer of film? How is the effect of replacing it

@ Anonymous273 It's the same as the new one. The screen of the laptop seems to be very different from that of the mobile phone. The outermost layer of a mobile phone is a layer of glass. I thought mbp was the same, but it turns out that the outer layer is just a layer of plastic film... I think, in theory, that kind of anti-reflective coating can also be replaced by a third party?

Is it originally a whole piece of film pasted on it? I thought it was a plating of a special material ….

The central coating of my mbp14 is also marked by the keyboard. I can only put a piece of paper between the keyboard and the screen when I put the lid in my backpack. Fortunately, I can't see it when the screen is turned on. Apple is also mentally retarded. Have you really never considered putting it in a backpack and running with it? After reading the original poster's experience of changing the coating alone, I went to Taobao and searched it. It seems that there are several hundred yuan. I will get one when it affects the bright screen.

I also saw someone say not to apply film to Mac before, because tearing it off will destroy the coating, so I didn't apply it either. I didn't expect that the coating would be damaged if I didn't stick it. I was really speechless. In this way, it is better not to use this coating directly to glass.

@ Anonymous22 What a coincidence. I tried to pad paper at the earliest, but I always forgot it and was still knocked. I was fine at first, but I couldn't see it when I turned up the brightness, but then it became serious. Try the magnetic film (not advertising). Many brands have it. There is no glue in the middle, so the coating will not fall off.

@ Poster I feel that there is no perfect way, so I can only treat it with relaxation and treat computers as consumables. What I am most unhappy about is that the second-hand residual value will drop when I replace it with a new one after a while.

You're still expensive. Every time I change it, it's 200 yuan. I've changed it several times.

After these years of testing, as long as you don't carry it in your backpack to commute, there will be no problem at all.
