The experience of multiple Studio Displays is not good

On a whim, I built several Studio Displays to enhance the experience of desktop monitors. I found that although Apple has repeatedly shown multiple usage scenarios in official promotional videos and photos, the system support does not seem to have optimized multiple scenarios. The monitors are completely used for their own purposes and do not reflect their ecological advantages. The problems found so far are as follows:
1. Daisy chain is not supported. The monitor has only one lightning port, and multiple connections are either plugged into the host computer or require a lightning docking station
2. Brightness adjustments are independent of each other, and the system does not support multiple monitor configuration linkage
3. For audio output, only one of the monitors can be selected to produce sound, and it does not support the stereo combination of HomePod that calculates audio
4. The system natively does not support multi-track recording acquisition of multiple microphones
……
Is there a better solution that can make multiple usage more elegant?

Anonymous2125 Jun 4, 2025Your post is really timely. I currently have a Studio Display. I originally planned to buy another dual-screen one in the near future, but your post directly persuaded me to quit.

Poster Jun 5, 2025@ Anonymous5582 used it well before. After all, there are still few options for 5K without plastic cases @ Anonymous5583 That's what I did, mac is Thunderbolt 5, using Thunderbolt 4 docking station with two TB3 monitors @ Anonymous1714 not quite sober @ Anonymous4240 Yes, there is a reason for compatibility of third-party monitors. Apple's own monitors are really careless Consumers in the eyes of @ Anonymous46 apple don't need to know so much

Poster Jun 5, 2025@ Anonymous5584 I sold a second-hand one last night. The reflection of the bright screen when three units are placed together really affects the effect. It's okay for two units to be sandwiched at an obtuse angle. Automatic is fine if the visual experience is similar, but in fact there are still differences It is not simple aggregation, but the realization of spatial audio and computational audio input and output at the system level. There is no difference between simple aggregation and third-party devices, and there is no bonus to the Apple ecosystem

Anonymous7094 Jun 5, 2025I have a genuine Display and a domestic 5k monitor in my hand.. I've been wanting to add another. However, these problems do not have a particularly big impact on me. They are all default brightness, have audio, and rarely use microphones

Anonymous46 Jun 5, 2025@ Poster Apple can only use existing technology to achieve it. Most people don't think there is anything wrong with using two lines to connect two displays. In fact, Apple has never promoted one-line multi-screen 5K. If you don't understand technology, it's strange why you expect this

Poster Jun 5, 2025@ Anonymous7094 It doesn't make much sense to buy a studio display without these needs. How about the current 5K screen? Isn't it good? @ Anonymous46 I feel that multiple devices cannot be linked, which is quite unapple

Anonymous355 Jun 5, 2025Sound aggregation, no problem when connecting 8 monitor groups with 7.1 channels

Anonymous777 Jun 5, 2025@ Anonymous4240 # 18 This may be because on a certain screen, if the mouse moves to the bottom, the dock will move over

Poster Jun 5, 2025@ Anonymous355 Isn't Apple engaged in computing spatial audio? Manually making a real 7.1 is not Apple
-
Anonymous4240 Jun 5, 2025@ Anonymous777 This is generally true, but not every time the mouse is at the bottom, the dock will move over. The weight of which screen the mouse stays on cannot absolutely affect the dock position. Anyway, there is no inevitable rule
