I plan to buy a 27-inch iMac while the new model is on sale. The cpu and graphics card will be the default, and the hard disk will be replaced with a 512SSD.
The price difference between the low-end configuration and the high-end configuration is about 2,500. The difference is the cpu and graphics card. So the question is, how big is the performance gap between the two? Please answer your doubts
-Low-end: i5-8500, Radeon Pro 570X graphics processor (with 4GB GDDR5 memory)
-High: i5-9600KF, Radeon Pro 580X graphics processor (with 8GB GDDR5 memory)

Anonymous1660 Mar 21, 2019I think the main difference lies in the 8G video memory, because the CPU can be disassembled and replaced, and the graphics card is soldered dead... Of course the graphics card can be connected externally.. And why do the new models use the 8th generation in the middle and low configurations, but the motherboards are all Z390?

Anonymous1917 Mar 21, 2019CPU and GPU are not bottlenecks. If you care about the price difference, the answer is not worth it. Apple's options have always been that you get what you pay for, and you get what you pay for two cents. Changing the CPU and hard drive requires removing the screen (loss of warranty).

Anonymous1938 Mar 21, 2019I think we should add memory, replace SSD, and choose the basic model for CPU and graphics card.

Anonymous1939 Mar 21, 2019Can't 27 imac change the memory by itself?
-
Poster Mar 21, 2019@ Anonymous1938 It is more convenient to add memory to iMac, so choose the default one

Anonymous1940 Mar 21, 2019iMac uses 9900K, when fully loaded, either downfrequency or fried eggs

Anonymous159 Mar 21, 2019This iMac update didn't even change the mold, and I feel that the base model is enough. (Toothpaste anyway

Anonymous1941 Mar 21, 2019I find it difficult to press the i9 in the Big Frost Tower, and I really don't dare to see what the top iMac looks like

Anonymous1924 Mar 27, 2019I originally wanted to buy the mid-range version, but later I found that the configuration and performance were not of much value, so I switched to the beggar version. Arrives tomorrow.

Poster Mar 27, 2019@ Anonymous1924 decided to buy the beggar version

Anonymous1924 Apr 3, 2019@ Anonymous1572 There is nothing to evaluate and it is not a brand-new product. Haha, I installed 16G 2666 memory myself, which can be used at present. Because the beggar version of the motherboard supports a maximum of 32G, it can only be done without wasting the original memory.

Poster Apr 3, 2019@ Anonymous1924 Could you please ask what brand of memory? Is it mixed with the original memory to downfrequency?
