How big is the Fusion Drive SSD for iMac 2019?

  It is highly not recommended to use FD. The entire macOS ecosystem is built on the speed of SSD. Without SSD will make you feel very painful

  It can be connected to an external Thunderbolt 3 + Nvme hard drive. Anyway, iMac is not portable at all. 2,000 yuan 1TB (including Thunderbolt 3 hard drive box) is not slower than the built-in one, and 1,000 yuan 1TB is not much different for non-large-scale applications.

  @ Anonymous1917 built-in is definitely much faster I bought a 256G Mac mini 2018, only to find that the speed of the built-in SSD is simply amazing I also have the 27 'iMac I bought in 2015, the beggar version of the FusionDrive version. I have been using an external Thunderbolt 2 SSD, and the speed is only 300M. After using it for three years, I disassembled the machine and replaced it with a built-in SSD to 240G, and then installed FusionDrive, read and write 800M +, and the memory has been increased to 32G. I feel that I can fight for another 5 years... If you want to buy an iMac, it is still recommended to directly use the SSD. It is too troublesome to toss it yourself, and it is a bit heartbreaking to get scarred after dismantling it once.

  @ Anonymous9463 The built-in is mid-stream NVMe, 300M is too low-end because your previous one, and TLC has already reached the 6Gbps SATA3 upper limit. What's more, the price of SSD has dropped so much now, and there are magical new factories like Hikvision.

  @ Anonymous9463 ls Both of you have slapped in the face I just wanted to say that thunderbolt 3 has an external box that supports raid 0.. Much faster than built-in.. Especially earlier machines such as my 13-year-old trash can simply cannot match the current speed of light nvme
