My colleague bought a 21.5 iMac. He started thinking that it was too expensive to add solid state, and then asked me if I had hands-on skills. After watching some videos such as ifix disassembly, I felt that there was no problem, so I agreed. Then I disassembled it today. After disassembling it, I found that instead of choosing a hybrid hard drive, I actually castrated the M.2 interface directly! I searched on the Internet before, but I couldn't find any relevant information.

As a result, when I took it apart, it looked like this.. Only the solder joints are left.

Anonymous3602 Jun 15, 2020@ Anonymous4989 can bring your own, and you can bring your own SSD. Buy an adapter card, which has been tested personally and feasible. Currently iMac 64G memory 1Tssd is running perfectly.

Anonymous10178 Jul 10, 2020The Mac mini I bought before didn't have it either, but when I bought an SSD in the X Treasure store, I could actually buy genuine accessories. I decided to enter it decisively, install it yourself and use it.
