After upgrading the imac system, the lower version system was restored from the Time Machine. Because the photo application has been upgraded and the gallery has also been upgraded, the original gallery seems to be unusable. Who knows how to fix it?

Anonymous5814 Dec 15, 2020I encountered this problem when upgrading from 10.14 to 10.15 and then downgrading. My solution was to find a lower version system that had not been upgraded, copy the photo gallery app and replace the downgraded version that could not be used. At that time, the problem was solved. I don't know what version is your system? The ideas are for reference ~

Anonymous10237 Dec 15, 2020Create new administrator, transfer data, delete old administrator

Poster Dec 15, 2020@ Anonymous5814 But it seems that the photos in the gallery can't be used in this way, right?

Poster Dec 15, 2020@ Anonymous10237 This doesn't seem to solve the gallery problem. Try to create a new gallery and it can be opened normally, but the original gallery with photos still cannot be used

Anonymous1892 Dec 15, 2020Just delete the gallery and then synchronize it through icloud. This is how I got it

Poster Dec 15, 2020@ Anonymous1892 didn't open icloud, embarrassing ~

Poster Dec 15, 2020@ Anonymous10237 It's not that you can't open the gallery, it's that the system is upgraded and downgraded. The upgrade of the photo application leads to the upgrade of the gallery, and the lower version of the photo application cannot open the higher version of the gallery.

Anonymous10237 Dec 15, 2020@ Poster read your reply to others saying that iCloud is not turned on, which is embarrassing (why do you use the photo library if you don't turn on iCloud?), you can contact Apple customer service by phone, they should have encountered such cases.

Poster Dec 15, 2020@ Anonymous10237 Their customer service may not have an online solution yet. After asking online, people suggested upgrading to a new system, exporting photos, and then importing them to the old system. More than 100 G photos, it can't be bad

Anonymous4801 Dec 15, 2020Right-click to display the package contents and then drag all the photos in the originals folder to the photo app

Poster Dec 15, 2020@ Anonymous4801 is reliable, it's you who solved the problem, and the system has been tossed back and forth several times

Anonymous5815 Feb 18, 2021Copy the data to the mobile hard drive, and then reinstall the version of the system you want. Then copy the data to the computer.
