It's very old and worthless even if it's sold. The screen looks very good. Can this kind of hardware be upgraded by diy?

Anonymous3746 Oct 21, 2023It can only be disassembled and replaced with the SSD. The CPU graphics card can theoretically be replaced, but it is too much trouble and not worth it

Anonymous2527 Oct 21, 202311 models of mac mini, using Opencore-Legacy-Patcher to upgrade to the latest version of the system, it is too stuck to use...

Anonymous3631 Oct 21, 2023If you have the idea of "replace it with a new one if it breaks", try 😂. The aging of parts on the motherboard is inevitable. I removed a 2012 Mac mini before, replaced it with a memory stick and added a hard drive When removing the fan power supply, I accidentally pulled half of the base off, disconnected the pin heel from the motherboard, and the seat was tilted to one side. When I installed it back later, I tried my best to restore it... Then I downloaded an App that could see the fan speed and also The speed adjustment App was fine after testing, it was a false alarm...

Poster Oct 21, 2023@ Anonymous3631 Yes. Just hold the attitude that if it is broken, it will be broken. The main reason is that the imac appearance is still very high.

Anonymous3746 Oct 21, 2023@ Poster lots of replacement videos on youtube The serial number I understand is followed by the motherboard. Installing a higher version of the system does not work by default, it depends on this https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/

Anonymous92 Oct 21, 2023At most, replace the memory hard disk, and the cpu is the bottleneck. There are requirements for the motherboard. Replacing both of them is no different from a black apple.

Anonymous3749 Oct 21, 2023It seems that it can support up to macOS High Sierra, and higher ones can only be booted with OCLP like Black Apple
