Did no one mention that the iPhone 16e integrates C1's first self-developed modem-baseband?

Isn't this proper, using entry-level users as mice to test self-developed basebands? If there is national subsidy, quite a few people will buy it, right?

I am ready to replace the 16PROMAX I have on hand...

It cost a lot of money, but the 12-minute video lasted more than ten seconds. It is estimated that Apple itself doesn't have much confidence I guess the signal won't improve, or even get worse, but the power consumption should help. After all, the battery life is even more than 16. This thing is a pure guinea mouse. Do experiments to see the effect, and make sure that the machine behind it can't be used again

High probability, high cost, poor stability But it's always a good start What I care about is if M-Chip should change his name...

A18 should be called A18e. Is it inappropriate to call it a name with different specifications?

There is a national subsidy. After the national subsidy is 3999 and 16 is 4699. I feel that 16 is more cost-effective

The baseband modem is manufactured using an advanced 4nm process, while the transceiver uses 7nm technology The C1 chip is also equipped with a customized positioning system and satellite direct connection module, so that iPhone users can still stay connected when they are far away from the mobile data network. However, the chip is not yet equipped with millimeter wave 5G support capabilities. After Apple released the news of its self-developed chip, Qualcomm's stock price rose by about 1%, while Apple's stock price was basically flat. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The market has no waves

c1 modem is the baseband department of inter before the acquisition, which developed its own baseband. If you want to get rid of Qualcomm, take this experiment first. It is estimated that it is a residual blood version. Apple has forcibly slowed down Qualcomm's baseband to the same level as inter's baseband before, so as to avoid consumers BB, then is the worst time for Apple's signal! But to be sure, the c1 can't compete with the latest Qualcomm X75 for the time being

It's just paying to help Apple test the baseband

    @ Anonymous91 Where can't I think about it..

The C1 Apple modem is a monumental technical achievement. A several billion dollar effort that had been in the works for 7 years. In the end it gets two sentences in the press release and 15 seconds in the announcement video. Apple is clearly downplaying this intentionally. I guess it's not good, otherwise I wouldn't blow it off

I took a look at the latest Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition equipped with Qualcomm X80 baseband. The X80 5G baseband chip has a maximum download speed of 10Gbps and an upload speed of 3.5 Gbps. It supports 5G millimeter wave and sub-6GHz frequency bands. There are also many 5G frequency bands Supported frequency band 5G: n1/n2/n3/n5/n7/n8/n12/n20/n26/n28/n38/n40/n41/n48/n66/n77/n78/ n80/n81/n83/n84/n89 4G: FDD-LTE: B1/B2/B3/B4/B5/B7/B8/B12/B17/B18/B19/B20/B26/B28/B66 TDD-LTE: B34/B38/B39/B40/B41/B42/B48 3G: WCDMA: B1/B2/B4/B5/B6/B8/B19 2G: GSM: B2/B3/B5/B8 Supports 4 × 4 MIMO antenna technology/HPUE/HO RxD

At present, there are only paper parameters, and the support is very complete. You can't know the actual experience until you get started.

    The good stuff is definitely on the pro without sinking to the se;

Apple Keynote says the C1 is very power-efficient, but nothing else. It is estimated that the only advantage is power saving
  • Anonymous885 Feb 20, 2025
So is Qualcomm in danger? Apple is a big customer.
  • Anonymous1777 Feb 20, 2025
This thing depends on experience and technology. It will wait at least a few years before it can be launched on the flagship, or it may never be launched on the flagship

It feels like testing the waters. If 17 is on, the explanation will work, but if it is not on, the explanation will be gone.
  • Anonymous818 Feb 20, 2025
I can't mention it without getting the machine. Is it a void test?
  • Anonymous2097 Feb 20, 2025
There is no doubt about the test machine

@ Anonymous4096 The power consumption is not necessarily that good. You see, after cutting magsafe and adding battery space, the CPU shrinks, the screen shrinks brightness, the battery life can be squeezed out
