Did Apple only update 5G-A in China for iOS 18.4 this time?

It's very strange. I haven't seen people discuss the 5G-A (5.5 G) of the iOS 18.4 update this time, such as reddit/youtube. The English video didn't mention it, and Apple's update instructions didn't write. It seems that only Chinese users are discussing the 5G-A signal?
Is this an update only for China? Why don't we see any foreigners discussing it, or do we say that 5G-A has already been popularized abroad, and we are just blinded?
Can any overseas students confirm it? Why do you feel that this matter is only discussed in Jane?

Anonymous2776 Apr 1, 2025Foreign 4 and 5G were at full speed from the beginning. Only China was castrated by itself. Now China's WIFI7 is still castrated and adjusted to 6GHZ

Anonymous2121 Apr 1, 2025Has anyone successfully opened it?? What are the opening conditions?

Anonymous529 Apr 1, 2025@ Anonymous2121 # 2 The system was updated to the 18.4 beta version more than half a month ago and used 5GA. There are no conditions for opening telecom, just upgrades, and now speed-up packages in many cities are free

Anonymous699 Apr 1, 2025Things have to be done step by step. The United States is still slowly advancing 5G standalone, and the priority of 5G-A is relatively low. Let's wait until we in Red Neck State solve the problem that when there are more people in some large commercial plazas, mobile phones have signals but cannot access the Internet. 😂

Anonymous2121 Apr 1, 2025@ Anonymous529 # 3 I am from China Mobile and China Unicom. I updated the system today, and it still only shows the 5G logo, but there is no 5GA logo. Do I need to open the speed-up package??

Anonymous2839 Apr 1, 2025@ Anonymous2776 5G-A, that is, 5G Advanced, will not be finalized until 3GPP Release 18 in 2024. According to this report by PCmag, T-Mobile's 5G-A deployment is still in the upcoming stage. https://www.pcmag.com/news/t-mobile-tech-president-were-taking-5g-advanced-nationwide-mwc-2025 Simply put, the reason why there is no discussion is because large-scale deployment has not yet begun.

Anonymous4055 Apr 1, 2025wifi7 6ghz is not something we want to castrate. They didn't design it for us, hey.

Anonymous529 Apr 1, 2025@ Anonymous2121 # 5 China Unicom's ordinary package does not open the speed-up package, and 5G-A will also be displayed in the covered area. I suspect your area isn't covered

Anonymous642 Apr 1, 2025@ Anonymous2776 It's already 2025. If you don't let them show off 5G-A, is there anyone else stopping them from showing off their internet speed? 😄

Anonymous211 Apr 1, 2025My Japanese version of iPhone 15 Pro Max shows 5GA after update

Anonymous6671 Apr 1, 2025Huh? Huh? 5G-A or 5.5 G? My VIVO X100 has recently started to display 5GA, but every time I use 5GA, the network speed is very slow or the network is intermittent. I thought 5GA was a weak network environment of 5G--! Hahaha/dog
-
Anonymous1385 Apr 1, 2025It originally supports the aggregation of CA, but the display is just changed, and there is nothing powerful. If you don't believe your speed test, it's still the same.

Anonymous2772 Apr 1, 2025@ Anonymous699 What? The United States hasn't finished advancing 5G SA yet? On the one hand, the United States has a special supply of millimeter waves, on the other hand, independent 5G has not yet been deployed, which is a bit strange
-
Anonymous2772 Apr 1, 2025@ Anonymous1385 is different. In actual measurements, 5GA is more likely to run to the speed given by the operator. Ordinary 5G can only run to half or 2/3 at most

Anonymous2051 Apr 1, 2025My 5GA showed it down and after a few minutes it disappeared again.. Why
-
Anonymous2061 Apr 1, 2025@ Anonymous2051 Me too
-
Anonymous478 Apr 1, 2025I use China Telecom to run 5GA, and the maximum download of the Genshin Impact update package is more than 50 MB/S.
-
Anonymous1790 Apr 1, 2025It has been updated to 18.4, but 4G is still locked. There is no signal at 5Ga or even 5G at every turn, or it becomes a weak network and nothing can be opened. It is too uncomfortable.

Anonymous1385 Apr 1, 2025@ Anonymous2772 # 14 easier... 2CA or 3CA is not easier, it is a qualitative leap that you see directly. It already supports multi-carrier aggregation, so 5GA is just a decoration, which makes you feel great. https://i.imgur.com/NIvxivj.png
