I am used to using LG's 42C1 five years ago, and then using studio display, I am extremely disappointed. The monitor worth more than 10,000 yuan cannot display black

Hey, it can't be returned after activation and unpacking. It seems that only miniLED and OLED can match the colorful macOS
A dark scene, the studio display shows gray, which is seriously unacceptable

Anonymous454 May 8, 2025Aren't all LCDs like this? The black display cannot be compared with oled

Anonymous2154 May 8, 2025May I ask whose black monitor is "displayed"?
-
Anonymous2155 May 8, 2025What you need is the 32GS95UE. Apple's displays have been crumbling.

Anonymous1802 May 8, 2025The selling points of studio display are Delta E, reference mode and lightning port HDR viewing is not as good as domestic 1000nit miniLED What the hell is the colorful macOS? The focus of desktop mode is consistency and uniformity

Anonymous906 May 8, 2025Five years ago, there was no C1, The OP isn't going to have been for five years...

Anonymous13519 May 8, 2025I complained many years ago, saying that the studio display is perfect, and basically I have never eaten fine chaff. In the face of the absolute technical advantage of OLED, there is no old ips slag left. It just so happens that Apple also relies on the mirror screen to improve the last bit of clarity, and has no advantage in front of LG OLED Tv.

Anonymous13519 May 8, 2025@ Anonymous906 5 years ago there was CX, 6 years ago there was C9, 7 years ago there was C8... CX is also one of the first to be miniaturized to 48 'and can be used as a desktop monitor. C1 was only the first model to be cut to a smaller and acceptable size of 42 ', and the number of desktop users exploded.

Anonymous2157 May 8, 2025There is a question I am curious about, didn't you know studio display is lcd before I bought it..
-
Anonymous13145 May 8, 2025@ Anonymous13519 Your words are a bit absolute. The 42oled main black position advantage has little influence in work, but the low ppi disadvantage has a great influence. I use studio display for my main screen and 42c2 for my secondary screen. I use it normally in normal work and the studio display experience is much better. The problem with the 42c2 is that the ppi is too low and the brightness is low. Especially the problem of low ppi and studiodisplay side by side is very embarrassing. Of course, when used for entertainment, it must have an 85-inch large screen oled.

Anonymous2008 May 8, 2025Consumption is too passionate, I haven't researched it in advance, and have you never used IPS
-
Anonymous14371 May 8, 2025@ Anonymous13519 The problem is that the oled monitor ppi is too low, and the HDR brightness limit is still limited.

Anonymous46 May 8, 2025I have said many times that SD has no partitioned backlight, no high brush rate, and a sluggish response speed. If you don't really like Apple's design or have strict requirements for high color separation accuracy when doing design, the cost performance of buying it in the past two years is very low. However, many people in v station like to emphasize the advantages of SD. As for the disadvantages, it is useless. Even though the market has proved that high refresh rate and partition backlight are more important to most people than high scores

Anonymous2159 May 8, 2025@ Anonymous13519 I am a user of CX (77-inch living room) and C2 (42-inch desktop monitor), and I like LG's OLED very much But if you really consider the work purpose, WOLED has a large screen, and the PPI is relatively low. Coupled with the problem of sub-pixel arrangement, the text/code display is very uncomfortable. There is also the brightness problem. ABL doesn't affect entertainment much, but daily use of computers inevitably displays white in a wide range (after all, the web dark mode is not mature so far...), and it's disgusting for ABL to suddenly intervene. In addition, although the large-screen WOLED can achieve full black by turning off the pixels, it is very blurry when displaying ultra-low brightness content, which seems to be due to unstable brightness at low voltage

Anonymous14326 May 8, 2025One for entertainment, the other for productivity, different scenarios
-
Anonymous831 May 9, 2025@ Anonymous46 High PPI is far more important than high brush and partition backlight in the working environment. The biggest problem with studio display is that the pricing is too high. In addition, it is expected that the release of the next generation is not far away, and it is really not cost-effective to start at this time.

Anonymous46 May 9, 2025@ Anonymous831 The working environment of multimedia is indeed 5K point-to-point is very important. Just write a code and open a PDF. To be honest, there is not much difference between 4K scale and 5K point-to-point. It may not be as high-quality, well-tuned front camera and microphone on SD. Great value in office scenarios
-
Anonymous1839 May 9, 2025For film and television workers, studio display is actually unusable, even hdr is not supported
-
Anonymous906 May 9, 2025@ Anonymous13519 So, 5 years ago, there was indeed no C1 as mentioned in the OP title.

Anonymous2160 May 9, 2025If there is 5k 27, 6k 32 oled game is over.
