I don't understand. Those who say that the mac doesn't need to be shut down don't heat up?

From win to mac, macmini m4 has been using high intensity for half a year, but the problem of sleep fever has not been solved. The standby temperature can reach more than 60 degrees. I connected macmini to a Xiaomi socket, and the sleep power consumption is higher than normal use. Can you stand this? At the beginning, I also searched the Internet for solutions. What software to watch power consumption should not be used, what settings prevent automatic sleep, what activity monitor checks which program consumes power, etc. Basically, I have used all kinds of methods. Usually, I just turn on the Mijia plug to see how much power it consumes. There is no accident. It is completely metaphysical. It depends purely on your mood. There is no pattern. The power consumption will be low and high. And the most important thing is the problem of memory leakage. The windowsever doesn't shut down for a few days, which directly occupies several g memory. I have seen no less than ten posts on windowsever in the station, but there is no solution. Don't ask, ask is restart. Since you have nothing to do, it's better to shut down when you don't use it. Apple users are really adaptable. Speaking of which, I have to complain about homepod by the way. Let's talk about macmini. Since last week, I turn it off every time I use it. I give up the bad habit of looking at power consumption when I have nothing to do. The body is cold, and it is easy and stress-free to touch when I turn it on. How to use it comfortably. If there is any means to solve the problems of heating and memory leakage, I would still like to leave it unshuttered. The key point is that these two problems are very common. I have seen on the Internet that not only macmini, but also mac studio and MacBook are available. I can only say that there are many unsatisfactory places in macos.

Unless there is an update, my mac mini usually doesn't shut down, and I haven't paid attention to the temperature at ordinary times. Just hot spots.

Who has nothing to do all day to touch the temperature of the desktop.... why don't you touch the outside unit of the air conditioner

Not only is it fever, but there are also various bugs. Today the idea cannot be typed. Restarting the idea is invalid. Just restart the machine:)

@ Anonymous964 # 119 is indeed for the intel chip. m1 hasn't noticed if there is this phenomenon yet..

The memory is not oom, and it is not swapped frequently (in fact, it doesn't matter to swap, it's nothing more than a reduction in the life of the ssd, but it's estimated that the computer will be changed on the day the ssd breaks), so what if it is high, isn't that what the memory does?

@ Anonymous719 In 2019, the intel i9 + sequoia windowserver will kill the cpu and explode the load. Then I switched to m-series computers. At the same time, spotlight scan I externally connect ssd (it happens that I externally connect ssd with a lot of trivial files, which will also take up resources and become stuck. Just set the search scope with spotlight) Turning on Thunder for a long time will leak memory and take up tens of gigabytes

Crooked building: Maybe the op computer is poisoned, just mining for nosey business hahahaha. Look at the log, wake-up log, process monitoring and collection, etc. There is a high probability that there will be clues. Look at power consumption? That's the appearance, we have to find the root cause of the trigger

@ Anonymous2278 # 19 If the memory usage is high, it will heat up. Close the app with high memory and reopen it, or don't open the browser tabs too much. I don't turn it off once a year, it's okay

    1. Caused by a certain software; 2. Is it caused by the incompatibility of macos after upgrading? 3. After high-forced use, is there nothing close to the computer one second before the computer goes to sleep? I feel if it has something to do with this, and the software that should be exited is still exited.

It is said that it is caused by the dynamic wallpaper. You can see if the dynamic wallpaper is turned on.

@ Anonymous6152 # 136 Thanks, I did turn on changing wallpaper color by time, turn it off this week and try. Is there a link to the answer to the original question, my situation is that I close the computer every Friday after work, and the monitor type-c is powered. The computer must be hot when next week comes.

After booting for a long time, you will encounter the problem that the Finder does not respond during restart It's probably windowsever's fault
