I don't understand. Those who say that the mac doesn't need to be shut down don't heat up?

From win to mac, macmini m4 has been using high intensity for half a year, but the problem of sleep fever has not been solved. The standby temperature can reach more than 60 degrees. I connected macmini to a Xiaomi socket, and the sleep power consumption is higher than normal use. Can you stand this? At the beginning, I also searched the Internet for solutions. What software to watch power consumption should not be used, what settings prevent automatic sleep, what activity monitor checks which program consumes power, etc. Basically, I have used all kinds of methods. Usually, I just turn on the Mijia plug to see how much power it consumes. There is no accident. It is completely metaphysical. It depends purely on your mood. There is no pattern. The power consumption will be low and high.
And the most important thing is the problem of memory leakage. The windowsever doesn't shut down for a few days, which directly occupies several g memory. I have seen no less than ten posts on windowsever in the station, but there is no solution. Don't ask, ask is restart. Since you have nothing to do, it's better to shut down when you don't use it. Apple users are really adaptable. Speaking of which, I have to complain about homepod by the way.
Let's talk about macmini. Since last week, I turn it off every time I use it. I give up the bad habit of looking at power consumption when I have nothing to do. The body is cold, and it is easy and stress-free to touch when I turn it on. How to use it comfortably. If there is any means to solve the problems of heating and memory leakage, I would still like to leave it unshuttered. The key point is that these two problems are very common. I have seen on the Internet that not only macmini, but also mac studio and MacBook are available. I can only say that there are many unsatisfactory places in macos.

Anonymous4406 May 23, 2025Because the display screen will light up from time to time during sleep, I directly banned him from sleeping, and only allowed the display to sleep automatically. I didn't encounter anything if I didn't shut down the phone for a long time. I run quite a lot of software, and I usually don't turn it off very much. I haven't missed it in recent months

Anonymous59 May 23, 2025@ Poster # 5 I have been using mbp for 12 years. Except for upgrading and restarting, it is impossible to shut down the phone, and I have not encountered the heating problem you mentioned.

Anonymous3525 May 23, 2025Your software problem, haven't encountered sleep fever

Anonymous4262 May 23, 2025How to put it? Sometimes I will encounter abnormal fever when reading web pages, and windowserver memory usage abnormalities also occur occasionally. Sometimes it is 2-3g a week, and sometimes it is only 1.5 g a month. As for saying that mac does not need to be shut down, my evaluation It depends on the usage habits, I don't shut down win and linux

Anonymous1477 May 23, 2025I guess you have some app that is also using resources in standby mode. I have used the mbp of my m2 pro for 2 years. Except for the fact that I used a virtual machine to play games before, the computer hardly heated up. I mainly do front-end work. Once I encountered a computer closed and carried it home, and found it hot. I happened to be using uniapp to develop apps at that time. I killed hbuillder, and the temperature of the android virtual machine dropped.

Anonymous81 May 23, 2025Why do you always say that Apple users are adaptive? Maybe others really didn't watch it at all, didn't pay attention to it, and didn't care about these things, alas. Some people like to pay attention to cars and houses, lipstick and face masks, but who will pay attention to memory...

Anonymous4336 May 23, 2025homepod wants to be a speaker for mac-it's normal to have delays. Pot for airplay. If you use apple's own application, it should automatically handle the delay problem, such as am.

Anonymous4409 May 23, 2025I couldn't stand it, so I just killed the windowserver process and then the computer automatically restarted 🤓

Anonymous4410 May 23, 2025Has the mac itself started to leak memory? Haven't you heard of it? Why don't you check it first, blindly guess... a browser?
